Ella Langley is officially back after taking a step away to focus on her health. She returned to social media this week with a grateful note and a glimpse into her time off. She said, “Couldn’t be anymore grateful to have had some time to slow down and see all of the amazing things happening in my life.” She also shared snapshots of her break, which included horseback rides . . . hanging out with friends and family . . . and plenty of cuddles with her dogs. Last month Ella had announced she was canceling the rest of her August shows after battling sickness and exhaustion. At the time, she told fans she needed to focus on her “mind, body and heart” before returning to the stage. She closed her post with these words: “Time to get back to it.”
Miranda Lambert just got selected to play in the 45th annual Ryder Cup Celebrity Match later this month. But here’s the kicker, she said she’s only played 22 holes of golf in her life. In a video posted to Instagram, Miranda laughed at her inexperience while taking lessons from husband Brendan McLoughlin. Apparently, Luke Bryan encouraged her to let fans in on her golf journey, so she posted videos of a bunch of her swings . . . and misses. Here’s what she said, “Y’all, I’ve played 22 holes of golf in my life, and I’m playing the Ryder Cup this year . . . I’m gonna give it hell. Cheers to trying new things!” The Ryder Cup takes place from September 26th to the 28th on the Black Course at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York. Miranda has a few weeks left to sharpen her swing . . . but her putting game is honestly looking pretty good.
Megan Moroney’s career kicked off with a football song that hit at just the right time. Her debut single “Tennessee Orange” became her first #1 in 2022 after going viral on TikTok. The song was the story of a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan who falls for a Tennessee Volunteers fan. Before long, she’s wearing “Tennessee Orange for him” . . . learning the words to “Rocky Top” . . . and breaking all the rules her daddy laid out about never straying from the red and black. Megan recently explained how the song came to life. When she was still an independent artist, she was approached by Spotify to participate in their Fresh Finds program. They asked her to bring an unfinished song they could release during football season. She figured her Georgia versus Tennessee anthem would fit perfectly. And she was right. “I released it just because Spotify asked me for a song . . . And then it changed everything.” What started as one football song has now turned into sold-out headlining tours . . . two very successful albums . . . and an ACM Award for New Female Artist of the Year. Not too bad.
