Luke Bryan has racked up 31 #1 hits in his career, but one of his biggest songs never made it to the top of the charts. Back in 2011, he released “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” as the lead single from his album “Tailgates & Tanlines”. And it only reached as high as #4 on the country charts. Luke’s label estimated that “Country Girl” was being pirated as much as 20 million times a week. This was at the peak of illegal downloading. But it also spread the song far beyond country radio, so he’s not mad. Luke said, “What a life-altering song for me . . . I’ll get to play it until I’m 80 years old, making some country girls have fun and dance.”
Blake Shelton is headed back to Vegas. He just announced that he’ll return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a brand-new residency in January. It’ll be called “Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas” . . . and it’ll feature eight shows this time around. He said, “We had so much fun earlier this year, I figured, why not do it again . . . This time we’re gonna do it more country, with more cocktails, and probably make a few more questionable decisions. Let’s go, Vegas.” Presale begins today. And if you’re looking to splurge, fans can also snag a “Pour Me a Drink” VIP package, which comes with a dedicated entrance, two cocktails, and a custom Ole Red “Walk In Stumble Out” hat.
All 10 episodes of the “Office” spin-off “The Paper” will hit Peacock on September 4th.
