he world lost an ’80s icon yesterday when Hulk Hogan passed away. But did you know that he and Dolly Parton once shared the screen together? It was on Dolly’s short-lived variety sketch show, and Hulk joined her as a guest. Hulk was playing a wrestler named Starlight Starbright, who shockingly looked and dressed exactly like Hulk Hogan. And then Dolly sang a song to him called, “He’s Got a Headlock on My Heart” . . .
Luke Bryan finally let everyone know why he had to cancel and reschedule a string of summer shows. Luke came down with Covid back in June and it wiped him out. He lost his voice . . . had to refund a show in Arkansas . . . postponed stops in Dallas and Lafayette . . . and even missed three big festivals. Eric Church stepped in to save the day on a few of those, but fans were left wondering what sidelined Luke. At last week’s show in Greenville, he told the crowd: “Three weeks ago, I got Covid . . . It’s still kickin’ my [butt], but I don’t care. When I can sing, I’m gonna sing . . . and when I can’t, y’all are gonna sing!”He’s still not 100%, and says he’s now leaning on a little vodka and tequila therapy to power through. So, don’t be surprised if you see him coughing through a show. At least he warned you.
After Duck Hodges popped the question to Lainey Wilson earlier this year, fans have been dying to see the two tie the knot. And while Lainey says they haven’t even started planning the wedding, there are already fake wedding photos of them floating around. Some of the images are so bad, even Lainey and Duck had to laugh. In a video posted online, Lainey asked Duck if he had a message for whoever keeps making those phony A.I. pictures. He looked into the camera and said: “If you’re gonna put out stuff about us . . . at least make us look good. I mean, we look like [crap]!” The post was captioned: “Attention to those making A.I. photos of me and Lainey . . . Sincerely, the couple who hasn’t had a wedding yet.” So officially, there’s no wedding date set yet, but she says when the time comes, it’ll be simple, beautiful, and done their way.
