Motley Crue has released a powerful new version of their 1985 hit “Home Sweet Home”. . . but this time they enlisted the help of Dolly Parton.

And it’s all for a great cause.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit Covenant House, an organization that supports youth facing homelessness by providing food, shelter, and care. This collaboration celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic power ballad, but it’s not Dolly’s first rock rodeo . . . she went full “Rockstar” on her 2023 album with legends like Paul McCartney, Mick Fleetwood, and Steve Perry. Motley Crue says having Dolly on the track is a “career high,” and Dolly called it an “honor and a joy.”

Morgan Wallen lit up Houston, literally, as he kicked off his I’m The Problem Tour with fire, pyro, and some serious self-reflection. During the title track, he doused the stage in (fake) lighter fluid while headlines from his past scandals flashed on the screen.  Then he struck up a lighter and pretended to let it all burn. Here are some of the headlines he was “setting fire” to:

1.  “Morgan Wallen Breaks COVID Mask Protocols.”  Which is a nod to his 2020 bar incident that initially cost him his “SNL” debut.

2.  A newspaper article calling him “America’s Problem”

3.  A fan commenting “His albums have too many songs.”

4.  And there was also a throwback to when he was snubbed for Entertainer of the Year at the CMAs in 2023. And he brought out a couple local celebrities during his walkup, as is his custom:  Texans legend Andre Johnson . . . and gambling legend, Mattress Mack. Jelly Roll said in the comments, “Just when I think you can’t G.O.A.T. yourself anymore . . . you bring out Mack in Houston.  CRAZY!”

Kacey Musgraves just had to reschedule a show because she fell and broke her rib in Mexico.  “Wednesday night it was raining and I was running to grab some towels and had an extremely hard fall on some very slick tile I didn’t see.  Thankful I didn’t smack my head but I landed very hard on my back left ribcage and broke rib number six.” She said that doing anything is now painful, and there was no way she could get back on a plane to make her Nashville show that was supposed to take place yesterday. The event she missed was called Sing for Science and it will be rescheduled for September 18th.  Kacey says she’s, quote, “So sorry for the inconvenience.”  We just hope she feels better soon.

Luke Bryan was doing a show in Arkansas on Thursday and his voice was starting to go out.  So, he stepped up in a big way for his fans. Halfway through his set he told the crowd, “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason.  It happens every time, I don’t know why . . . I don’t give a damn, I’m gonna refund everybody their tickets tonight and we’re going to keep doing the damn show, okay?” A lot of the fans in attendance cheered him on.  Who wouldn’t want a full refund? And it turned out to be so bad he cancelled his next two shows . . . due to “illness”.  Friday’s show in Dallas, Texas was rescheduled for September 12th.  And Saturday night’s show in Lafayette, Louisiana was rescheduled for September 11th.

Nick Cannon was asked to name all 12 of his children, and he blanked on the last two.

Kate Upton and Justin Verlander welcomed their second child.

Owen Wilson has been confirmed for the fourth “Meet the Parents” movie.

Morgan Wallen now has five weeks at #1 with his album “I’m the Problem”.

Melissa Rauch is 45.  Bernadette on “The Big Bang Theory”.

Jason Mraz is 48.  “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”, is about his friend’s cancer.

K.T. Tunstall is 50.  Scottish lass who sings “Suddenly I See”.

Selma Blair is 53.

Clarence Thomas is 77.  Supreme Court Justice.

Ted Shackelford is 79.  Gary Ewing on the “Dallas” spin-off “Knots Landing”.

Charlie Sheen’s autobiography, “The Book of Sheen”, is coming out September 9th.  In it, he writes about, quote, “every detox, retox, drug deal, and adventure along his challenging journey to freedom.” Jennifer Love Hewitt will narrate a new true crime series called “A Killer Among Friends”.  It’s about murders within friend groups and it premieres…
