Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has died. His family didn’t announce the exact date or cause of death, but he was diagnosed with dementia and placed in a conservatorship last year. He was 82. Wilson was plagued by drug addiction and mental illness throughout his life. By 1964 he had stopped touring with the band. This led to outright feuds with his bandmates, along with several reconciliations over the years. Wilson is survived by his daughters Carnie and Wendy and five adopted children from his second marriage. The Beach Boys issued a statement on their website saying, in part, “Brian Wilson wasn’t just the heart of The Beach Boys. he was the soul of our sound. The melodies he dreamed up and the emotions he poured into every note changed the course of music forever.”
Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges got engaged back in February, after Duck took a very long time to pop the question. Lainey’s returning the favor. She said, “He made me wait for four years. I’m gonna make him wait before we start planning this thing . . . We hadn’t really covered any ground on it just yet, but we’re taking our time and it’s gonna be right and it’s gonna be beautiful . . . what it’s supposed to be about.” Lainey’s deluxe edition of her album, “Whirlwind”, will be released in August. And she said that she’s working on her next full-length album, too.
Back in the 80’s Dolly Parton streaked naked through Tom Jones’ backyard. Dolly said, “This was many years ago now, I’ve mellowed out a little. This is when Tom Jones lived in Bel Air, and he was hot as he can be . . . and I had some friends out in Hollywood and I was staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.” She was trying to remember if it was when she was shooting “9-5” or “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. But anyway, a bunch of girlfriends, and we had a couple margaritas . . . And they dared me to streak through [Tom’s] yard, and then kept daring me, and double dog dared me, and I couldn’t take it. So, I just stripped down, ran across the yard, jumped back in the car and put my clothes on. I don’t think he saw me . . . and if he did, I didn’t impress him much.”

Emily Blunt is using her fame to support a good cause. The 42-year-old actress hosted The American Institute for Stuttering’s 19th Annual Gala in New York on Tuesday. Emily is a board member and has been a vocal supporter of the work they do. She has been vocal about the fact that she spoke with a stutter in her childhood
