George Strait has won the most solo male artist ACM awards ever.  But did you know he has the most Entertainer of the Year LOSSES, too? In 39 years, he’s been nominated for Entertainer of the Year 14 times . . . and only won TWICE. So, the moral of the story is:  Don’t hold too much stock in these award shows.

One of the favorite couples on the Netflix show, “Love on the Spectrum”, are both huge country music fans. During an episode, they also mentioned how their favorite artist was Blake Shelton . . . and that they’d love to meet him someday. Well, they just got their chance. Blake, as always, is such a good dude.  And was impressed by their knowledge of his songs.

With Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, Lainey Wilson recently shared her thoughts about her great relationship with her mom.  But what stuck out the most, was the one piece of advice that Lainey will refuse to take from her mama.  And that’s about singing. Lainey said, “I always say, ‘I don’t wanna take advice from people who aren’t where I want to be’ . . . I remember growing up and singing, my mama cannot carry a tune in a bucket, but she would try to tell me how to sing, and it would make me so mad.  Because I was like, ‘You can’t sing!’ Lainey went on to say she looks to her mom for a lot of other advice . . . but she’s all good on singing tips.

Chris Stapleton’s album “Traveller” celebrated its 10-year anniversary earlier this week. Some people have said that Chris was so good, that he single-handedly killed “Bro Country”. Here are some of the album’s accomplishments:

1.  “Traveller” won Best Country Album at the Grammys, and Best Album of the Year at the ACMs and the CMAs.

2.  It was the highest grossing country album of the 2010s.

3.  The album is certified RIAA 7x Platinum in the U.S.

4.  “Traveller” has been streamed 11 billion times around the world.

5.  And it has spent over 500 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.  It’s the ONLY country album to ever do that.
