99-year-old Dick Van Dyke proved he’s still got it at his Vandy Camp charity event on Sunday. While seated onstage, he led a sing-along performance of several songs, like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” from “Mary Poppins”. He also sang the theme songs from the movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and his classic TV series “The Dick Van Dyke Show”. Yes, the “Dick Van Dyke Show” theme song has lyrics.
Dolly Parton is well-known for her fashion and makeup choices. And she just revealed she wears her makeup to bed! But only when sleeping in California. She said, “I sleep in my makeup when I’m in California. With the earthquakes, I never know when I’m going to have to run out in the middle of the street . . . I’m not going to be on the news and look like hell, which I do without makeup. So, I leave a little bit on.”
Lainey Wilson and her fiancé, Duck Hodges, went hunting the other day and made a funny Instagram video in the process. They are both in camo, and Lainey is whispering to the camera, letting everybody in on their process. She says, “We’re out here in Tennessee. We’ve been spotting these turkeys for about a week solid . . . There’s one gobbler, and he is a big boy, let me tell you. There’s several jakes, and a few hens too.” That’s when Duck pops into frame and says, “We’re gonna see if we can call ’em up.” Then Lainey laughs and says, “I know how to call a Duck.” The couple that hunts together . . . stays together. And maybe eats turkey, too.
It was just announced that Chris Stapleton and Tyler Childers will headline Healing Appalachia, which is a benefit festival focused on addiction and recovery awareness. For the last five years the festival took place in West Virginia, but now it is moving further west to Kentucky. Which is why it’s cool that Chris and Tyler are headlining, since they are both Kentucky natives. The festival will go down September 19th and 20th in Ashland, Kentucky. The full lineup has not been released yet.
