If you ever wanted to own a home that Dolly Parton once lived in, now’s your chance. Back in 1994, Dolly bought a remote mountainside cabin in Idyllwild, California for $126,000.  And then in 2023, she donated the cabin to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. Last July, the charity sold the property, and now it’s back on the market, and available for purchase.  All you need is $768,000. The listing says, “Dolly and her beloved mother were the last to occupy this home, leaving behind decor, collectibles, and furnishings, all included in the sale . . . Legend has it that the spacious loft was Dolly’s favorite place to write and play her music.”  It also comes adorned with a GUITAR-SHAPED TOILET.

But did you know that before Riley Green got famous, he worked in construction?  And every week, he would play at a Mexican restaurant in Jacksonville, Alabama for “about $150 [a] night.” Riley said he would perform in front of 50 to 60 people at the Mexican restaurant, and he did that every week for EIGHT years. His big break came when someone from a much bigger venue asked him to do a show there.  It was called Iron City, in Birmingham.  And his first thought was, “That place holds 1,300 people.  It’ll be empty.” But to his surprise, he almost filled the place up, and the rest is history.

When everything shut down during Covid, and there weren’t live concerts for a while . . . a lot of musicians were on edge.  But Luke Combs quickly sent his crew all a simple message that said, “Your families will never have to worry about putting food on the table.”  And then he gave all 44 crew members a full salary throughout the pandemic.
