Pamela Anderson plays an aging Las Vegas dancer in a movie called “The Last Showgirl”, and there’s talk her performance could win her some award nominations.

The CMA Awards are right around the corner.  And they just announced another round of stars that are being added to the performers list.

1.  Jelly Roll will take the stage with Brooks & Dunn to sing their song “Believe”,

2.  Luke Combs will sing “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”.

3.  Megan Moroney will perform “Am I Okay?”

4.  Kelsea Ballerini will sing “Cowboys Cry Too” with Noah Kahan.

5.  Kacey Musgraves will sing “The Architect”.

6.  Bailey Zimmerman will sing “New to Country”.

7.  And Cody Johnson and Eric Church will both be performing, but keeping their songs a secret

And all of these great artists will join Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, and Shaboozey, who were already announced as performers. The 58th Annual CMA Awards airs this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on ABC.

New music –  “Texas” by Blake Shelton.  It’s been over two years since Blake has released new solo music.  And Blake credits Post Malone for getting him back in the studio again. Their song, “Pour Me a Drink”, was such a big hit that it makes sense that Blake wants to record more music.

A while back someone asked Miranda Lambert who was on her Mount Rushmore of country music.  And she named Emmylou Harris . . . George Strait . . . Merle Haggard . . . and Willie Nelson. Koe Wetzel was just asked a similar question, but this time he didn’t have to limit it to just country. He said Kurt Cobain . . . George Strait . . . Frank Sinatra . . . and Eminem. 

Kelly Clarkson put a country spin on Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” during one of her “Kellyoke” performances this week.  The best part is that she added more of an OLD-SCHOOL country feel to it. She said, “Ever since I heard this song, for some reason, I hear like Dolly Parton singing it as well . . . it lends itself to country for me, so I asked my band if we could make more of a country version.”

Zach Bryan announced a big show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey next year, where the Jets and Giants play.  Kings of Leon will open.  It’s one-night-only, set for July 20th.  Tickets go on sale today. That show and Stagecoach are the only two he’s currently got slated for the U.S. next year.  He’s also got two back-to-back concerts at Hyde Park in London next June.He recently said he’s planning to take time off to go back to school and get his master’s degree in Paris. 

The special “Josh Groban and Friends Go Home for the Holidays” will air December 20th on CBS.   

ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” will air its first-ever live West Coast countdown from Las Vegas. 

 It looks like Sophie Turner will play Lara Croft in Amazon’s “Tomb Raider” series.

Anni-Frid “Frida” Lyngstad is 79.  Brunette ABBA singer.

Sam Waterston is 84.  D.A. Jack McCoy on “Law & Order”.

Petula Clark is 92.  Biggest hit:  1964’s “Downtown”.
