The first round of voting for the 2024 CMT Music Awards closed yesterday. The original list of 16 nominees for Video of the Year is now down to the top six. They are:

The rock band NEEDTOBREATHE and Jordan Davis are joining forces to create musical memories Sunday for the CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas. Kelsea Ballerini will host. Ballerini, Wilson and Jelly Roll are part of a five-way tie for leading nominee at the fan-voted awards show alongside Cody Johnson and Megan Moroney. Each artist is up for three awards. There are 14 first-time nominees from a variety of genres, including Ashley Cooke, Bret Michaels, Chayce Beckham, Koe Wetzel, Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, Zach Bryan, The nominees for the night’s top honor—Video of the Year include Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves and Brandy Clark featuring Brandi Carlile, in addition to Darius Rucker, Childers and Bryan.
