Madonna hit the boards during her show in Seattle on Sunday.  She was sitting in a chair when one of her dancers came from behind, leaned the chair back, and started dragging it across the stage.  But the dancer slipped, and they both went down.  Madonna played it off well.  She continued pretending to sing, and her prerecorded track never skipped a beat.

Lainey Wilson just won the Grammy for Best Country Album, and last night she won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Country Artist.  Did you know that she got rejected from “American Idol” 7 times? It must have been weird when she finally made it on stage for the season 21 finale.  She said, “I tried out seven times.  I took the long way around, but finally made it on ‘American Idol’.  I never made it past the first round.” When Luke Bryan was told about Lainey’s “Idol” past, he said, “That was the first time I heard that, but I am glad she didn’t take the ‘Idol’ letdown to heart.”  He then admitted, “we don’t always get it right.”

Lots of baby news landed over the long weekend

1.  Jessie James Decker and former NFL star Eric Decker just welcomed baby number four, a boy named Denver.  She posted some pics on Sunday and wrote “8.7” . . . so, 8 pounds 7 ounces?  If so, that’s fun.  Eric was drafted by the Denver Broncos as the 87th pick, and also wore #87.

2.  Congrats to Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner, who welcomed baby number3 Saturday, a little girl named Ivy.

3.  Kane and Katelyn Brown are expecting a boy later this year, and Kane talked about it at the People’s Choice Awards on Sunday.  He said 4-year-old Kingsley won’t stop asking to touch Katelyn’s belly.

4.  “American Idol” alum Alex Georgia welcomed a son with his fiancée this month.  He came early at 33 weeks, but everyone’s doing great.  Alex was one half of Kat & Alex with his ex Kat Luna until they split up last year.  On Friday, he posted a new song for his son called “Perfectly Imperfect Timing”.  He wrote, “If you’ve had a baby in the NICU, this song is for you.”

Cody Johnson stopped a recent show because a fan needed medical attention.  And he fired a shot at a fellow artist in the process.  He said, “This is not a Travis Scott concert.  We will stop to help people out. Y’all just sit tight.  As soon as we figure this out we’ll continue with the show. But I’m gonna tell you right now, this is about you, this ain’t about me, so we’re going to stop and take care of this young lady before we do anything.”

Jelly Roll responded to fans online who were upset that he hit the stage at 11:30 P.M. Saturday night at his NBA All Star Weekend show.  He says he wasn’t allowed to perform earlier and was only allowed to do an hour because of his contract. I would never leave fans just waiting that late, it was completely out of my control.”  He added, quote, “The biggest lesson I learned is, I won’t be quick to do corporate events anymore.  Only regular Jelly Roll shows from now on . . . I ain’t about to let y’all keep making a mountain out of a mole hill.”

A book with a signed note from Martin Luther King Jr. to the nurse who saved his life after an assassination attempt hit the auction block.

Josh Brolin hinted that he might be in “Deadpool and Wolverine”.

William Byron won his first career Daytona 500 on Monday, leading just the final four laps. A massive crash he had a hand in involving half of the 40-car field with eight laps to go promoted him to second place for the restart with six laps remaining. The Lap 193 incident was triggered when Byron got a big push from teammate Alex Bowman, who finished second, that got him sideways and turned him into Brad Keselowski, which triggered a massive chain reaction crash.
