Disney released official photos of Ariel’s friends Flounder, Sebastian the crab, and Scuttle the seagull from the live-action “Little Mermaid” . . . and they look a little too real and less cartoony
Miranda Lambert has been promoting her “Y’all Eat Yet?” cookbook. It debuted at the top of Amazon’s cookbook lists, and hit Number Two on their overall bestsellers list. The star recipe is her mom Bev’s “famous meatloaf”. Miranda said, “It was an editor’s pick in ‘Southern Living’ [magazine] a decade ago, and she now calls it famous.” Bev’s meatloaf is so good it makes people want to love you forever. It was first thing Miranda cooked for her husband Brendan’s family. “When anybody’s ever been dating someone serious or bringing them home, you either bring them to mom’s house to have it or call and ask her how to make it because that’s how you know you’re getting serious with somebody. If you make the loaf for your significant other, you might get engaged. It’s a thing. It’s engagement meatloaf.”
If Kenny Chesney ever has the chance to do the Super Bowl halftime show, he might DECLINE the offer. Or it at least wouldn’t be an automatic yes. He talked about the pros and cons during an interview the other day. “I’m not saying that if I was asked to do the Super Bowl, that I would say no. I would probably say yes. But I feel like it’s the KISS OF DEATH.” He said it might be good for his career. But everyone who does it deals with a ton of hate too. So, all things being equal, he’d rather go and just to watch the game. “If I’ve got the choice to have all that stress leading up to it, or sit in a suite with my dad and have a beer . . . I’m probably going to do that.”
Luke Bryan will headline his 14th Farm Tour this September. He’ll be setting up stages in the fields of local farms from September 14th through the 23rd. Guests will be announced later on. Luke says, “I can’t wait to get back in the fields, up close to the fans and honoring our American farmer.”
Clay Walker’s wife Jessica had a miscarriage 20 weeks into her pregnancy. It’s a tragic and sudden surprise. They just announced the pregnancy earlier this month. As you can imagine, it’s hitting hard. He says, “The whole family had been waiting for the baby and it was really, just a huge blow. It felt like we got run over by a train just watching my wife suffer through that.”
A tribute concert special honoring George Jones is coming to PBS called “Still Playin’ Possum: Music and Memories of George Jones”. It taped on Tuesday with tons of performances from artists like Brad Paisley, Jelly Roll, Tanya Tucker, Trace Adkins, Sara Evans, and Dierks Bentley. A premiere date hasn’t been announced.
Add Hank Williams Jr. to the list of country stars opening a bar in downtown Nashville. His will be an 11,895 square foot club called “Hank Williams Jr. Boogie Bar”. The permits were recently filed so it’ll be a while before you can boogie with Hank
Singer-songwriter Keith Gattis died Sunday in a tractor accident at his Nashville home. Keith wrote songs for artists like Kenny Chesney, Charlie Robison, and George Strait. You may also remember his 1996 hit, “Little Drops of My Heart”. He was 52.
