CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown” asked a bunch of country stars to name the weirdest things fans have thrown at them on stage. Here are the highlights . . .
Walker Hayes: Underwear . . . including some that weren’t exactly clean.
Kane Brown: A bra, and he caught it. So the crowd went nuts.
Ashley McBryde: Also bras. She says it’s happened a lot more since her song “Brenda Put Your Bra On” came out.
Thomas Rhett: A packet of breast milk. (???) He called it “very random.”
Jelly Roll: Men’s tighty-whities. (And lots of drugs.)
Jordan Davis: Someone’s boot, and he did a “shoey.” That’s where you pour a beer in it, then chug it.
Hardy: A prosthetic leg, and he did a shoey out of THAT. He called it a “leggy.” He says it happened to him twice in one week.
Kelsea Ballerini: Younger fans have tossed their phones up to get her to take photos on their BeReal app. That’s where both cameras take a shot of what you’re doing at that exact moment.
Granger Smith: A BABY. They didn’t really throw it. But the way they held it up made it seem like the kid might fall. So he kept singing with a baby in his arms.
Somebody posted audio on TikTok of Clay Walker viciously berating his bus driver. He swears up a storm while yelling at the guy for being late, not cleaning up the bus, and being unprofessional.
The CMA Fest is celebrating its 50th year this June, and they’re going big. The initial lineup has been announced, and it includes Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, and Lainey Wilson.
Pro-LGBTQ+ artists are coming together for a benefit concert called “Love Rising” to support the Tennessee Equality Project. There will be performances from Jason Isbell, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, and Amanda Shires. Other artists include Sheryl Crow, Hayley Williams, Hozier, and Brittany Howard. It’ll take place March 20th in Nashville.
Zach Bryan’s self-imposed social media ban is over. He hit up Twitter yesterday with a clip of a new, untitled song. It’s just him and his acoustic guitar, and it’s solid.
