For his big album release today, Morgan Wallen is playing a FREE SHOW at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville tonight.  Or, free for some people at least. There was supposed to be a two-day ticket giveaway, yesterday and today.  But all the tickets went on Day One. Fans lined up yesterday, and it was first come, first serve.  The line stretched for blocks, and the tickets were gone in about three hours.  Then almost immediately, some of those “free” tickets were being sold online by SCALPERS. There’s no way to tell how much people are really paying.  But we’ve seen them listed for hundreds, even THOUSANDS of dollars. The tickets say “non-transferable.”  Last we heard it wasn’t clear how the venue was enforcing that.  So maybe they aren’t really, or people who paid those prices will be in for a big surprise when they can’t get in.

It’s been a minute since Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley co-hosted the CMAs.  We got a reminder of what we’ve been missing when Carrie brought Brad out to her show on Wednesday in Nashville. They did a monologue-type song called “Paisleywood”.  They traded verses about how it’s NOT an awards show, but if it was, they’d both be winners. Then they joked about last year’s co-hosts.  Carrie sang, “‘Cause you’re funnier than Luke [Bryan].”  Brad answered:  “And you’re prettier than Peyton [Manning].” The song’s title came during the big finish, when they both sang . . . “I know you’ve missed us.  And we’ve missed you too.  Together again.  We’re ‘Paisleywood’.”

Charlie Puth posted a HI-larious video of himself in his home studio NOT being able to hit a note.  So, he puts a call into Dan + Shay, and guess what, they answer immediately. Unfortunately, Dan Smyers can’t hit the note either, but Shay Mooney can . . . and the happy ending is their collaboration on “That’s Not How This Works”.

Amy Grant is working on her first album in a decade . . . since “How Mercy Looks from Here”, which came out in 2013.  There aren’t many details yet, but the first single, “Trees We’ll Never See”, is out March 24th. Amy will have a lot to draw on if she needs personal experiences.  In addition to suffering a brain injury after a bike accident last summer . . . she’s also recently had heart AND throat surgery.  Now, she says her voice is better than ever.

Lainey Wilson pledged to donate $1 from every ticket for her sold out tour to We Are Moving the Needle.  It’s a nonprofit organization that supports women in the recording and professional audio industry.  Laney said, quote, “Thank you for the genuine and continued support to lift up women in music.”

• “One Thing At A Time”, Morgan Wallen.  His third album is a massive 36-song set.  Guests include Eric Church on “Man Made a Bar” . . . Hardy on “In the Bible” . . . and Ernest on the song “Cowgirls”.  Miranda Lambert co-wrote “Thought You Should Know”, which became her first Number One hit solely as a songwriter.

• “I Don’t Know A Thing About Love (The Songs of Harlan Howard)”, Willie Nelson.  This is his 73rd solo studio album.  It’s a tribute to the late Harlan Howard, who wrote classic hits like “Tiger By the Tail” and “Busted”.

Camila Cabello is 26.  She used to be in Fifth Harmony.

Jessica Biel is 41.  Mrs. Justin Timberlake.  Now she stars on that Facebook show “Limetown”.

David Faustino is 49.  Bud Bundy on “Married with Children”.

Julie Bowen is 53.  Claire on “Modern Family”.

John Carter Cash is 53.  Son of Johnny and June Carter Cash.

Jackie Joyner-Kersee is 61.  The greatest female track and field athlete EVER.

Herschel Walker is 61.  NFL star.

Jennifer Warnes is 76.  She sang with Joe Cocker on the song in the final scene of “An Officer and a Gentleman”, 1982’s smash “Up Where We Belong”.
