Jason Aldean announced the details of his Highway Desperado Tour, and it’s huge. He’ll be going coast-to-coast while making stops in 41 cities. It kicks off July 14th in Bethel, New York . . . and wraps October 28th in Tampa, Florida. Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent, and Dee Jay Silver will open the shows. Tickets go on sale Friday.
Shania Twain is still getting asked about the topless photo shoot she did for the cover of her song, “Waking Up Dreaming”. It WAS outside of her comfort zone, but she did it because the time was right. “I’m only going to get saggier, older, and wrinklier as time goes on, so I might as well jump in right now and face this head-on [and] do a naked photoshoot, and that’s what I did. It helped me so much. I was just, dive-in.”
Wynonna Judd almost passed out on stage in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday. She told the crowd to hang on because she was feeling dizzy, and called for help. Then she decided to keep performing and told fans to take pictures if she faints. Someone brought out a stool as she launched into “Mama He’s Crazy” and she joked, “Screw the stool. I’m going down big.” The good news is she’s feeling okay. Yesterday she Tweeted “All is well, y’all.”
Kelsea Ballerini has been getting busy. And this time I’m NOT talking about her dating life. Last night at midnight she released a six-song EP called “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat”. And she teased one of the tracks, “Mountain with a View”. She ALSO released a short film that she wrote and directed, and that too is titled “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat”. Some think the project is a response to ex-husband Morgan Evans’ song “Over For You”.
