Dolly Parton was formally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday.  After accepting the honor she said, “I guess I’m a rock star now.” She also addressed her decision to remove herself from the nomination process, only to “gracefully” accept it when the Hall wouldn’t take no for an answer. “A lot of you knew that back when they said they were gonna put me in, I didn’t feel like I had done enough to deserve that.  I didn’t understand at the time that it’s about more than that, but I’m honored and so proud to be here tonight.” She wrote a new song for the night called “Rockin'” and she performed it while wearing a leather outfit. She helped close the show with a performance of “Jolene” . . . and she was joined by several stars including Pink, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Annie Lennox, Pat Benatar, and Judas Priest singer Rob Halford.

If you could create your own ULTIMATE country music festival line-up and pick any eight artists, who’d make the cut?  Someone posed the question online and did it as a two-day concert series.  All the artists he picked are living.  Other than that, no rules. Assume ticket prices aren’t an issue . . . everyone’s willing to take part, with no scheduling conflicts . . . and the event has an unlimited budget.  Obviously, it’s subjective, but here’s the line-up he came up with . . .

Day One:  Chris Janson opens, followed by Jake Owen . . . Trisha Yearwood . . . and Kenny Chesney closes out the night.

Day Two:  Cody Johnson . . . Lee Brice . . . Brooks & Dunn . . . and the headliner is Dolly Parton.

Carrie Underwood’s fans will be furious if she doesn’t win CMA Entertainer of the Year [EOTY] on Wednesday.  Country Now was checking social media posts and found this from a fan, quote, “EOTY or we riot.”  Let’s hope they’re kidding.  Carrie is up against Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and Miranda Lambert.

George Strait was at Saturday’s World Series game.  He signed a bunch of autographs, and there’s a pic of him GETTING an autograph from Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr.  He also did the traditional “Play ball” call before the game.

This moved along quickly.  Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans have reached a settlement in their divorce.  She filed the papers in late August, and they reached an agreement on “all issues relating to their divorce” on October 24th.  They had a pre-nuptial agreement, so that probably helped.

Christopher Knight is 65.  Peter Brady on “The Brady Bunch”.

Joni Mitchell is 79.  Her hits include “Big Yellow Taxi” and”Help Me”.

Johnny Rivers is 80.  Biggest hits:  “Secret Agent Man”, “Poor Side of Town” and “Swayin’ to the Music

Sometimes a new take on an old classic feels right.  Here’s Tim McGraw and a couple of musicians doing an unplugged version of Merle Haggard’s, “If We Make It Through December”. If you like Alan Jackson and whiskey, well, you’re a friend of mine.  But also, you should watch his daughter Mattie make a “Freight…

Should Kentucky rename a state park after the late, great Loretta Lynn?  Fans say yes, and so does her family.  They just posted a link on her website to a petition encouraging lawmakers to do it.  The park they have in mind is Paintsville Lake State Park, a few miles from Butcher Hollow, where…
