If seeing Dolly Parton in concert is on your bucket list, you better get on it. In an interview with “Pollstar”, she said she won’t be doing full tours anymore. She’s NOT retiring, but she is slowing down. “I don’t think I’ll ever tour again. I’ll do special shows here and there, maybe a long weekend or a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour. I’ve done that my whole life, and it takes so much time and energy.” She wants to stay close to home with her husband Carl Dean. “We’re getting older, and I don’t want to be gone for weeks at a time. Something could happen. I wouldn’t feel right if I were gone and somebody needed me.” She’s still recording that rock album, so they asked if she has any “dream duet partners”. She’s planning to ask Ed Sheeran, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, and Chris Stapleton.
If you’ve seen recent photos, Shay Mooney from Dan and Shay is looking pretty svelte these days. It turns out he’s lost close to 50 POUNDS just in the past five months. Fans have been commenting on Instagram, so he opened up about it. He says he cleaned up his diet, stopped drinking, started lifting weights, and walks seven miles a day now. Quote, “I’ve literally never felt better physically, mentally, and spiritually.”
Darius Rucker says the old historic house he’s renovating for his show “Rucker’s Reno” is HAUNTED, and he’s experienced it himself. He says, “I slept in there a couple nights, and you could feel it . . . it starts creaking . . . and I got up and put my shoes on and ran back outside to my other house.”
Alan Jackson is this year’s CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. He’ll be honored at “The 56th Annual CMA Awards” with a tribute performance from Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, and Lainey Wilson. The CMAs are November 9th.
If you hate candy corn, you’re not alone. Seems fashionable these days. But if you like it, you and Jon Pardi have something in common. Somebody asked him about his favorite Halloween candy, and he said quote, “The candy corn is pretty good, and that’s seasonal, so it only kinda pops out during Halloween.”
Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane had an anniversary yesterday, and I’d say things are going very well. He hit up Instagram with photos of them together, plus a solo shot of her. And he captioned it, “15 years. I love you more today than I ever have. Happy anniversary, Morgane.”
