It’s a good thing Chase Rice owns a lot of acreage, because his pets need it. CMT’s “Hot 20” visited his Nashville farm . . . and when he opened a bag of feed, his herd of bison came trotting in for lunch. He said, quote, “During quarantine I had all this land, but I didn’t have any of the fencing. I thought about cattle. Didn’t really want to do that. I love bison. I love the west. [These] are my pets. It’s weird. I get that. But they’re awesome.” They also got a look at Chase’s Kubota tractor. It was a SURPRISE gift from Kenny Chesney as a thank you for being on his tour. “Kenny calls me over to his house the day before we played in Detroit . . . and we’re sitting there drinking wine, and I was like, ‘why am I here? “I’m like, ‘I love you Kenny, but you never invited me over to your place before’ . . . and he took me out to the front of his house, and he had this [tractor] waiting for me.”
It’s hard to imagine anyone NOT wanting to work with Carrie Underwood, so it isn’t surprising that people are always trying to line up a duet with her. In a recent interview, she said, “We get requests every week . . . and musically, it has to make sense.” She added that she considers every request a compliment.
Trisha Yearwood will flip the switch at this year’s annual “Opry Goes Pink” event for breast cancer awareness. The show is next week, on Friday the 14th. Trisha will be performing, along with The Oak Ridge Boys, Mandy Barnett, Easton Corbin, and Miko Marks.
Reba McEntire’s “Live in Concert” tour kicks off October 13th, but she’s already announcing dates for next year. She’ll pick it up March 9th in Jacksonville, Florida and take it into mid-April. Terri Clark and The Isaacs are the openers. Dates and details are at Reba.com.
The band Mechanics Wanted did a metal version of Morgan Wallen’s “Warning”. It’s not a random cover, though. They met while playing in Morgan’s band.
Her name was missing from the credits on Saturday Night Live last weekend, but Cecily Strong is still a cast member and will return at the end of the month.
