Shania Twain decided to go TOPLESS at 57 in the cover art for her new single “Waking Up Dreaming”.  She’s topless-but-covered, so you don’t really see anything.  But all she’s wearing is a cowboy hat and boots, with a shirt tied around her waist. In a new interview, she says it was all her idea, and she styled the shoot herself.  She says she wanted to make a statement about being, quote, “comfortable in my own skin and just being really myself.”

While we’re on the subject.  Hurricane Ian has forced Luke Bryan to postpone three Florida concerts.  The show in Estero has been moved to November 2nd, the West Palm Beach concert will be November 4th, and the Tampa show is now November 5th.  Luke’s tour page has the details.

Carrie Underwood is good at social media.  She loves to share interesting pics and videos about her career, plus fun stuff she does with her family.  She’ll probably do it forever too, and here’s why. She decided a long time ago to stay away from the negativity.  Quote, “I love to put things out there, I love to follow people, I love to see what they’re up to, I love to tell people what I’m up to, but I don’t read comments. “I think that’s one of the best things I could’ve ever done.  I might see the top ones from people I know.  But after that, I don’t need to know.  I’m doing my thing.  I’m having a great time.  “If I posted a picture of it, it’s because I’m proud of it or I liked it, or I was having fun while I was doing it.  And I don’t necessarily need to know what everybody thinks about it.”

If you have Peloton, there’s a new episode of Ashton Kutcher’s “Our Future Selves” series on the app today, which will feature Kenny Chesney.  Together, they’ll “run” to Kenny’s biggest hits.  Ashton is training to run a marathon, but Kenny says he hasn’t run one before.  Speaking of Kenny, he has sold just under 1.3 million tickets to his “Here and Now” tour.  That broke 14 personal records and placed him at #7 on Pollstar’s third quarter recap, raking in more than $114.4 million.

Martina McBride announced the dates for her 12th annual Christmas tour.  It kicks off the Saturday after Thanksgiving in North Carolina.  She said it’s the best version of the show yet.  Presale tickets go on sale today with the general sale on Friday.

Luke Bryan was onstage in Iowa on the Farm Tour when he told the crowd he’s a Georgia Bulldogs fan, and that they were going to “whip your ass” this year.  It didn’t go over well, but he recovered with this comeback, quote, “Y’all are booing me.  That’s the first time I’ve ever felt like Blake Shelton.”

We’ve been hearing a lot from Kelsea Ballerini in the wake of her divorce from Morgan Evans.  Obviously, she’s the bigger star, and she did just release an album on Friday. Well, here’s a “statement” from Morgan, in the form of a brand new song.  He performed it at a festival in his home country of Australia over the weekend. There’s a video making the rounds, and it’s pretty moving.  He’s alone on stage playing the piano and telling a very sad story.  Here are some of the lyrics . . .”How long have you been waiting to take our pictures down / How long have you been breaking, why am I just finding out.  How many times did you tell me you loved me if it wasn’t true / I’m just wondering, how long has it been over for you?” Later in the song, he sings, “It would be easier if I hated you / But I still miss the person that I thought I knew.”  When it’s over he looks completely torn up and seems to wipe a tear from his eyes.

Jack Black just set a new record for the quickest song to land on the Hot 100 chart with “Steve’s Lava Chicken”, clocking in at 34 seconds.  It’s from “A Minecraft Movie”. Luke Combs headlined Stagecoach on Sunday, but after his set he wasn’t done . . . He actually had one more song to…

Toby Keith passed away in February of last year, but his memory is still going strong.  Not only in country music, but in the world of horse racing as well. If you didn’t know, one of Toby Keith’s dreams was to get a horse to race in the Kentucky Derby.   And even though he’s not around…
