If you’ve been squirreling away money for a really cool event, here it is.  The next Crash My Playa will feature Chris Stapleton and Lionel Richie.  This could be the best lineup Luke Bryan has ever put together. Other performers include Carly Pearce, Dustin Lynch, Ashley McBryde,Cole Swindell, Brian Kelley, Chase Rice, and Dylan Scott.  It’s going down January 19th to the 22nd in Riviera Cancun, Mexico.  Details are at CrashMyPlaya.com.

Every singer has their own style, but if you ask them who influenced that style, they’ll toss out a name or two.  Riley Green remembers the light going on when he saw Eric Church and Justin Moore in Biloxi, Mississippi, He liked how they connected with the audience, without resorting to “lights and fireworks.”  Quote, “That was a big part of it.  I like to take it down a notch and sit on a stool and play a song, and have it touch somebody in a different way.”

Trace Adkins found out he had Covid . . . WHILE he was kissing Susan Sarandon.  They were filming a scene in “Monarch” when the producers burst in and said Trace had just tested positive.  Trace was worried that he might KILL Susan, but she never got sick because she had “like eight vaccinations.”

• “Different Man”, Kane Brown.  This is his third album.  Blake Shelton joins him on the title track, and his wife Katelyn Brownduets on the song, “Thank God”.

• “Cross Country”, Breland.  This is his debut country album.  It includes the previously released singles, “Throw It Back”, featuring Keith Urban . . . and “Praise the Lord”, featuring Thomas Rhett.
