Buffy the Vampire Slayer is returning to TV . . . but this time she’s fighting WEREWOLVES. Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in and produce a show called “Wolf Pack” for Paramount+.  It’s by one of the people who made the “Teen Wolf” series. It’s about a California wildfire that awakens, “a terrifying supernatural creature.”  Sarah will play an investigator looking for the teenage arsonist who set the fire.

Pat Benatar will no longer perform “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” at her shows out of respect for the families of mass shooting victims.  She said it’s her contribution to protesting gun violence.

Some seats for the upcoming Bruce Springsteen tour are selling for up to $5,000 . . . directly from Ticketmaster.  It’s part of their new “dynamic pricing” program, which supposedly freezes out scalpers.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t do much for the concertgoer.

“Top Gun: Maverick” hit #9 on the list of highest-grossing films at the domestic box office.  It’s made $623.8 million so far, beating out “The Avengers”, which made $623.4 million. 

After leaving “Saturday Night Live”, Kate McKinnon isn’t sure when she’ll be able to watch new episodes.   “It’s just too emo because I miss everyone so much.  I mean, it’s my other family.”

The new Jordan Peele movie “Nope” is out this weekend.  It’s up against a Katie Holmes romantic drama called “Alone Together”.

Jason Aldean was asked about that awful mural of his face somebody painted on the side of a Dollar General store in his hometown of Macon, Georgia.  First of all, he has no idea who commissioned it.  “I started seeing pictures of it popping up on Facebook.  I think my dad sent it to me and he’s like, ‘This is cool.  They just kind of did you dirty.'” He didn’t want to offend the artist, and appreciated the gesture. Then he admitted it made him look like Beavis from “Beavis and Butt-Head” right beside it.

Actress Shonka Dukureh was found dead in her home Thursday.  There’s no word on the cause of death.  She played Big Mama Thornton in “Elvis”.  She was only 44.

Loretta Lynn saw Chapel Hart perform their update of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” on “America’s Got Talent” . . . and she’d like a piece of that action.  She said on Instagram:  “I love it, ladies.  Now I’m wondering what you would be able to do with one of my songs.”

Gabby Barrett was asked how it feels to have fans use her music for special occasions.  “One of the reasons I do what I do is to help people, and be related to people through music.  So to have a song that can be involved in somebody’s special day that you never forget about.  It’s amazing.”

If you caught last night’s episode of “The Orville”, you were treated to a surprise Dolly Parton cameo.  She called it “an honor” . . . and added, “I might be as old as yesterday, but with all this new technology they make me look as new as tomorrow!”

Willie Nelson is launching a 10-day music and cultural festival in the fall.  It’s called Lucktoberfest, and it’ll be held on his Luck Ranch in Spicewood, Texas. Music, a family-oriented trick-or-treat night, and something called the Luck Night Market. The Outlaw Masquerade Ball will be for adults.  That includes burlesque dancers, “saloon acts”. Tanya Tucker – plus the first rodeo ever held at the ranch. The festival will run from October 28th through November 6th.  Willie’s Luck Ranch is about a 40-minute drive from Austin, Texas.  And there will be shuttle buses going back and forth.

Garth Brooks is releasing the second part of his “Anthology” on November 15th.  It’s a 6-disc set. It’ll also include two new songs, one being an unreleased duet with his wife Trisha Yearwood.  A limited edition copy is available for preorder.

Luke Combs’ wife Nicole had a birthday yesterday, and he welcomed her to the “dirty 30 club” although I doubt he meant the Urban Dictionary version.  Because the rest was lovely.  “You have amazed me more times than humanly possible.  I love you so much and I’m so thankful for you.  Every.  Single.  Day.”
