Hollywood legend James Caan died Wednesday night.  The cause of death has not been revealed.  He was 82. He was in so many great movies, including “The Godfather”, “Brian’s Song”, and, of course, “Elf”, where he played Will Ferrell’s dad.  He also did the TV series “Las Vegas” from 2003 to 2007, and kept working right up to the end.  He even has a few movies due for release next year.

He included the debut album of BlackHawk, which was one of the first CDs he ever owned, and wore out.  And lastly, there was a note written by his younger self.  He didn’t read the actual note, but he did explain what it represents. “It was a reminder to stay young and remember where you came from and make sure you stay rooted in your values and who you know you are.  And this, for me, kind of represents a lot of the work I’ve done over the years.”

Zac Brown Band brought in Cody Johnson to help out on a new cut of “Wild Palomino”.  The original version was on Zac’s album “The Comeback” last year, and the new one with Cody is out next week.
