In a new “GQ” interview, Brad Pitt says, “I consider myself on my last leg.  This last semester or trimester.  What is this section gonna be?  And how do I wanna design that?” Whatever happens, it doesn’t sound like Brad will ever NOT be involved in some type of creative endeavor.  “I’m one of those creatures that speaks through art.  I just want to always make.  If I’m not making, I’m dying in some way.” Brad will be on the big screen again in August, in the action flick “Bullet Train”, also starring Sandra Bullock.  He’s also currently producing several movies. Brad reveals that he quit smoking . . . and got sober thanks to a 12-step program.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will honor MICHAEL J. FOX with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.  It’ll be given out at their Governors Award ceremony on November 19th. The Academy says, “Michael J. Fox’s tireless advocacy of research on Parkinson’s disease alongside his boundless optimism exemplifies the impact of one person in changing the future for millions.” The award is given to someone whose humanitarian efforts bring credit to the film industry.  Previous winners include Gregory Peck, Frank Sinatra, Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, and Dreamworks founder Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Former Colts and Ravens defender TONY “THE GOOSE” SIRAGUSA died yesterday.  No word on the cause of death.  He was 55.  Ravens linebacker JAYLON FERGUSON died Tuesday night of a possible overdose.  He was 26.

Next year we’re getting a musical version of “Back to the Future”. It was announced yesterday with a teaser trailer showing two actors playing Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the one and only DeLorean with the words, “Synchronize your watches.” Not much is known yet like the complete cast or which Broadway theater it will be at.  But if you’re interested, you can sign up for ticket info at BacktotheFutureMusical.com. The musical actually debuted in the U.K. in 2020. 

SHANIA TWAIN woke up yesterday “feeling unwell and with no voice” and had to cancel last night’s show at Zappos Theater in Vegas.  She’s under strict doctor’s orders to rest and not sing. She said,”I’m extremely disappointed to cancel.  I’m going to do everything I can to get back on stage for this Friday and Saturday.  Thank you for your love and understanding.”

ALAN JACKSON has his own liquor brand.  It’s called Silverbelly Whiskey, and it “tastes like ’90s country.”  He posted a clip of the first bottle he opened . . . and it made him start dancing and singing karaoke.

CHRIS STAPLETON came down with COVID-19 and is postponing three shows.  He said, “I want to sincerely thank everyone who has waited for so long for these shows.  We are incredibly grateful for your patience, love and support, and can’t wait to see you next week.”

If you’re a huge MAREN MORRIS fan you better be following her on social media.  Especially if you have tickets to a show.  Yesterday she posted a Tweet asking fans which deep cut she should “break out this weekend” on tour. The choices?  “Just for Now” . . . “Bummin’ Cigarettes” . . . “What Would This World Do?” . . . or “To Hell & Back”.

Bill Nye the Science guy is now Bill Nye the married guy. He tied the knot with Liza Mundy in late May. The wedding wedding took place in the Enid A. Haupt Garden of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. Nye, 66, and Mundy, 61, wrote their own vows, which were “equal parts moving and comical.” The newlyweds met after the former “Bill Nye the Science Guy” star emailed the journalist about her mention of his mother, cryptanalyst Jacqueline Jenkins-Nye, in her 2017 book, “Code Girls: The Untold Story of the American Women Code Breakers of World War II.”
