In an interview with “Billboard” Brett Eldridge talked about how artists today are expected to promote themselves on social media. It’s a task that’s never-ending so he needed to create boundaries. “I lock myself out. I can’t look at my phone until nine o’clock in the morning, and I can’t be on it after 8:30 P.M. It locks me out. And I only have social media for an hour and a half on all platforms. So if I want to use those platforms to tell my story, I have to be mindful of how I use it.” He says the discipline is good for his own mental health.
WILLIE NELSON and his son MICAH released a new song called, “Die When I’m High (Halfway to Heaven)”. The story behind it is pretty cool. The two were playing chess and dominos one night when Willie blurted out, “If I die when I’m high, I’ll be halfway to heaven.” It sounded like a song title, so Willie told Micah to write it.
