If you ask a country singer why they got into the business, they’ll probably tell you about someone who recognized their talent and encouraged them to go for it. It was the exact opposite for MORGAN WADE. She talked about it in an interview with Opry NextStage, quote, “There was an unofficial singing group at school, and I remember the girls telling me, ‘Your voice is weird.’ You know as a kid you really take that stuff personal. “[But] for me, I think it was the best thing that happened, because I continued to do it because I loved it.” It sounds like the “mean girls” at school were jealous of her talent, because that was NOT the case when she got with some real musicians. She found a band on Craigslist, and that one group of guys gave her that confidence, and she doesn’t remember ever being nervous. It just felt right.”
