KACEY MUSGRAVES has a great story about the time her grandpa played poker with WILLIE NELSON, and beat him. Four years ago when she was in Hawaii over the holidays, she got invited to one of Willie’s famous poker nights where she hung out with people like Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, and Paul Simon. When she heard there was another game the NEXT night she asked if she could bring her grandpa. “Willie said, ‘Sure, bring him down. But the buy-in is going to be $300 cash.’ So I went to an ATM, got out some money, and when I got home I handed Pop a wad of cash, and said, ‘Merry Christmas.'” Kacey’s gramps played poker all the time, so he had some skills. Here’s what happened. “They get going and [gramps] loses all of his money, and then he eventually wins it all back, and then he stood up and said, ‘Well, I got to go.'” He ended on a high note. He won his buy-in back. And then we left. [My] grandpa was the talk of their little Texas town. All of his friends were so jealous. It was really cute.”

JASON ALDEAN wouldn’t mind having the same kind of career as George Strait. And one of the ways he’s doing it is by NOT writing songs. “George Strait made a career on not writing anything. He’s really good at finding songs.” Jason has written tons of songs through the years, and will continue. But his problem is that he’s “his own worst critic” and ends up loving what other people send him. It worked for King George.

MIKE TYSON teed off on a guy who was harassing him on an airplane on Wednesday. Mike was on his way from San Francisco to Miami for a marijuana convention, when some guy started bothering him from the seat behind him. Video shows the guy and then cuts to Mike PUMMELING him. Then it shows the guy with some cuts on his face. It doesn’t look like he took too much damage. Mike was leaned over his own seatback punching down while another guy was trying to stop him, so it’s not like he was landing lethal bombs. Tyson’s rep says the guy actually threw a water bottle at him, but there’s no video of that. Police are looking into it. They say the so-called “victim” was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and didn’t really cooperate with their investigation.
