People all over the world love country music. HARRY STYLES surprised his audience at Coachella on Friday by bringing SHANIA TWAIN to the stage. The place went nuts, of course. They performed “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One” . . . and at one point Harry told the crowd, quote, “In the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing.”
There’s a new record holder for the oldest chihuahua in the world, and his name is Toby Keith. According to “Guinness”, Toby set the record on March 16th when he turned 21 years, and 66 days.The average lifespan for a chihuahua is 12 to 18 years, so he’s blown way past that. His owner says Toby has a heart condition, but it doesn’t give him too much trouble. Want to keep your chihuahua around a long time? Toby’s secret is regular exercise, and a healthy diet of vegetables, rice, chicken . . . and no sugary treats.
KANE BROWN’s wife Katelyn was a singer working on her own career before they met, got married, and had a couple of kids. She went by the name Katelyn Jae, and the video for her song “Perfect” has racked up over 400,000 views. Well, her next break is coming from her husband. Kane said she’ll be on his next album, and called her his “secret weapon that I’m waiting to unleash.”
Gabby Barrett is returning to American Idol to coach singers whose shoes she once walked in. On Friday, Billboard revealed the 22-year-old country singer is coming back to the American Idol stage that launched her career — and introduced her to now-husband Cade Foehner — as a mentor for the hopeful contestants of Season 20. Set to appear on the forthcoming April 24 episode, Barrett joins other previous contestants who’ve served as mentors this season including Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Lee DeWyze, Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, Chayce Beckham, and Jimmie Allen. Popstar Bebe Rexha also appeared on the series as a Season 20 mentor. In 2017, Barrett auditioned for American Idol in Nashville, Tennessee during Season 16 and remained in the competition through the season finale. Then, she was voted off in third place behind runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson and his girlfriend, winner Maddie Poppe.
Right now, Riley Green and hunters around Alabama are enjoying turkey hunting. Green has had some success in the spring season. He and his friends have landed a “thunder chicken” already and it looks like the country singer has filled another tag. The state allows for three birds per licensed hunter during the season. It might just be the angle difference in the two pictures. However, this turkey looks a lot larger than the one his group landed on April 1. Jacksonville, Alabama is where he was born and raised and he always finds an excuse to get out there. Especially if that includes some hunting.
Michael Ray and Lee Greenwood are just two of the artists who will honor the late Jeff Carson with a musical tribute. The two will be joined by Mark Wills, Ty Herndon, Wade Hayes, Rhett Akins, Ricochet, Craig Campbell and more, for A Music Memorial for Jeff Carson, honoring the country music singer turned police officer, who passed away on March 26 after suffering a heart attack. The event will take place on May 10 at 7:00 PM CT at The Nashville Palace. Proceeds will benefit the Law Enforcement Assistance Partnership (LEAP), a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to sworn officers of the FPD during unexpected life events.
