Legendary comedian GILBERT GOTTFRIED died yesterday, after a battle with a disease called type 2 myotonic dystrophy . . . which is a form of muscular dystrophy. He was 67 years old. Despite his decades of amazing work, Gilbert is probably best known as the voice of Iago the parrot in the animated version of Disney’s “Aladdin” from 1992 . . . and the voice of the duck in the Aflac insurance. Of course he lost THAT gig in 2011, after making jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. He also crushed it on the Comedy Central Roasts of Bob Saget, Joan Rivers, David Hasselhoff, Donald Trump, and Roseanne. Gilbert’s other movies included “Problem Child”, “Beverly Hills Cop 2”, and “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane”. He also did voice work on cartoons like “The Fairly Oddparents”, “SpongeBob”, and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. Gilbert is survived by his wife Dara and their kids, 14-year-old Kara and 12-year-old Max.

KACEY MUSGRAVES gave “Architectural Digest” a tour of her Nashville home. It’s gorgeous, and it’s all hers . . . which is very important because she bought it while going through her divorce. “I wanted a place that felt like me, where I could express myself without having to think about another person and what they might want.” The best parts of the tour are when she shows off her personal items. There’s fun stuff she’s been making in pottery class, photos of her mom and grandad . . . plus quirky things she’s collected through the years, like a guitar from the 1800s, and a “fatty” from a famous fellow Texan. “I’ve got a framed joint from Willie Nelson. That’s going to stay there unless I need to break it in case of emergency.” How and why did this even happen? She gave a little more detail in the article., “He rolled this huge fatty and we all sat around and smoked it with him. Then he said, ‘Save the rest for another time,’ and I did.”

LUKE COMBS’ wife Nicole will be having their baby boy sometime this spring. Luke was recently asked for his thoughts about it, and he said, quote, “If a damn alligator can come out, it wouldn’t matter to me as long as it’s healthy. I would teach him to sing, teach him how to eat a cheeseburger.”
