The only criminal thing happening yesterday on the “NCIS” set was a mystery illness. At least 18 people have gotten sick, and are suffering “mild symptoms” like throwing up. A CBS source said it seems to be food poisoning . . . but nothing has been confirmed. They’re apparently still in production just outside of L.A.
JUSTIN BIEBER had to pause a show in Denver Wednesday night, after an electrical fire knocked out the power. After 30 minutes they got his sound going again, so he continued the show, but without his stage lights, lasers, and huge video screen.
Still driving a car with a cassette player? THOMAS RHETT would like to put some music in it. If you pre-order his “Where We Started” album, which is out April 1st, you’ll have the option of also receiving a special cassette version. It has commentary from Thomas about every song. Why is he doing this? Quote, “When I think about a cassette, I think about being young. I remember my mom taking me to the store to buy a Faith Hill cassette when I was like, six or seven. “And with the album being called ‘Where We Started’, it’s kind of just a deep dive into looking back at your younger self, and cassettes are what I grew up with.” Thomas was too young to experience vinyl records, but he still has a cassette collection, which I think he actually listens to. He adds, quote, “I just thought, that was kind of a really neat way to ring in the album title with something that feels so nostalgic like a cassette.” You can pre-order it at ThomasRhettShop.com.
This is getting complicated. Now the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is rejecting DOLLY PARTON’s request to be removed from this year’s nominations. They posted a statement on social media. Here are some highlights: The started out by acknowledging her request, and complimenting her “incredible talent and humility” . . . and they gave a very good reason why she was nominated in the first place. Quote, “From its inception, Rock & Roll has had deep roots in Rhythm & Blues and Country music. It’s not defined by any one genre, rather a sound that moves youth culture. Dolly’s music impacted a generation of young fans and influenced countless other artists that followed.” They also admitted they’re too far into the process, and can’t shove it into reverse. Quote, “Dolly’s nomination, along with the other 16 for the class, was [already] sent out to our 1,200 general ballot voters.” They closed it out with a compliment, because, of course. Quote, “We are in awe of Dolly’s brilliant talent and pioneering spirit and are proud to have nominated her for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”
MIRANDA LAMBERT spent St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland with her husband Brendan McLoughlin. She posted a selfie of them hanging out as she enjoys a glass of Guinness. Who’s hotter, JESSIE JAMES DECKER or her husband, former NFL’er ERIC DECKER? Today it’s Eric, because she posted a nude photo of him on his 35th birthday. She wrote, quote, “The birthday boy in his birthday suit looking like a statue from Greece. My man is 35 and aging like fine wine.”
TIM MCGRAW’s oldest daughter Gracie took a photo of herself posing like her dad on the cover of his “Not a Moment Too Soon” album . . . and then posted side-by-side pics of her version and the actual cover. Nice mustache.
Getting song lyrics RIGHT has been wreaking havoc on MAREN MORRIS’ sleep routine. That’s what she wrote on Twitter. “I have an album coming out and that’s exciting, but what keeps me up at night is wondering if it’s ‘cards close to your chest’ or ‘vest?'” The answer is . . . they’re both right.
