“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is officially coming to an end after 19 seasons. Yesterday it was announced that the final episode will air May 26th. Since her show came out in 2003, ELLEN DEGENERES has gifted about half a billion dollars’ worth in giveaways. She has also had over 4,000 guests. Some of her guests for her final episodes will include former First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA . . . DAVID LETTERMAN . . . ZAC EFRON . . . GWEN STEFANI . . . and CHANNING TATUM. THIS isn’t confirmed, but the “New York Post” claims that Ellen is giving MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in bonuses to her staff.
They announced the nominees for the “2022 CMT Music Awards”, and KANE BROWN is out front with four nods. KELSEA BALLERINI, MICKEY GUYTON, BRELAND, and CODY JOHNSON are right behind with three apiece. CARRIE UNDERWOOD has two nominations thanks to her collaboration with JASON ALDEAN on “If I Didn’t Love You”. It’s up for Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year. She’s already the most-awarded CMT artist of all time, with 23 wins. There’s a new category. The CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year will recognize performances created for CMT Digital. Cody Johnson is nominated there too, along with Brittney Spencer, Carly Pearce, Jon Pardi, Josh Turner, and Lainey Wilson. The CMTs are going down April 11th, and will air on CBS for the first time. It’ll also be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+. This is a fan-voted awards show and you can vote up to 20 times a day. There are 12 nominees in the Video of the Year Category. Top nominees from the first round of voting will be announced on April 4th. Final nominees from the second round will be announced on show day.
