ROD STEWART helped repair a local road that had been ignored for too long.  He said he could no longer drive his Ferrari on it and the other day an ambulance got a flat tire from all of the potholes.

DOLLY PARTON has withdrawn her name from this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame consideration.  She was one of seven first-time nominees, and as of last night she was fourth in overall voting. But there was an immediate backlash from those who felt Dolly wasn’t a good fit.  It sounds like she heard all the griping and didn’t want to get in the middle of it.  Here’s what she posted yesterday on social media: “Dolly here.  Even though I am extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I don’t feel that I have earned that right.  I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out. “I do hope the [Hall] will understand and be willing to consider me again . . . if I’m ever worthy.”  She added, quote, “This has inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future, which I’ve always wanted to do.” The Rock Hall has inducted several country artists, including Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Floyd Cramer, Bill Monroe, Hank Williams, Bob Wills . . . and the Father of Country Music, Jimmie Rodgers.

If you’ve been to a LUKE COMBS concert you may have seen him cover ED SHEERAN’s song “Dive”.  He also recorded a studio version back in 2018.

Well, Luke has been in the U.K. performing at the C2C Festival and he brought Ed out so they could sing it together.

Jason Aldean, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Sam Hunt, and Parker McCollum are some of the artists performing at this summer’s Cheyenne Frontier Days.  It’s billed as the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration, and it’s July 22nd through July 31st in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Maren Morris feels “awful” for passing her eyesight down to her son — but at least he looks adorable in his new glasses. The “Circles Around This Town” singer tweeted that her son Hayes, who is nearly 2, needed glasses “and he looks so cute but I also feel awful that I passed my awful eyesight onto him.” Morris also said on her Instagram story that, to help Hayes get used to his new glasses, “the entire household is now wearing fake frames (I have lasik) to inspire him to keep them on. It’s not working so far lol.” Morris and her husband, fellow country singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd, welcomed their son on March 23, 2020. Fellow parents were quick to respond on Twitter with sweet photos of their own young children wearing glasses for the first time, helping the country singer-songwriter feel better about passing down her imperfect eyesight to her son.

Boy, did ERIC CHURCH miss performing during the pandemic.  Check out what  he said to the crowd last weekend.  Quote, “I remember one night, after about 20-25 garage beers I thought, ‘Maybe I’m done, I’ll never get to do this again.’ “I didn’t dream about songs, I didn’t dream about cities.  I dreamed about this right here.  Everybody shoulder to shoulder, beside each other, normal again.  We are meant to gather, we’re meant to sing, we’re meant to drink and fellowship.”
