At last night’s ACM Awards, MIRANDA LAMBERT finally won Entertainer of the Year, but she wasn’t there.  (She was in Great Britain to perform at the Country to Country Festival.)

LAINEY WILSON was a surprise Song of the Year winner for “Things a Man Oughta Know”.  She also won New Female Artist before the show even started.

MORGAN WALLEN WON Album of the Year for “Dangerous:  The Double Album”.  He thanked his son, and “everyone who has shown me grace along the way.”

It was the FIRST major awards show to stream exclusively.  It was two hours instead of three.  There were no commercials which allowed them to do a 35-minute music block in the middle of the show.  There were no awards in that time, no comedy, just one performer after another.

It was held in Allegiant Stadium in Vegas. DOLLY PARTON was the big draw. She co-hosted with GABBY BARRETT and JIMMIE ALLEN. Dolly dedicated the show to the people of Ukraine.

Several performances stood out.  CHRIS STAPLETON’s “Watch You Burn” was a moving tribute to the Route 91 victims.  KELLY CLARKSON honored Dolly with an outstanding version of “I Will Always Love You”.

An interesting thing happened when CARLY PEARCE and ASHLEY MCBRYDE performed “Never Wanted to Be That Girl”.  The massive crowd seemed to settle down and completely focus on the performance.  It was that good.

The night wrapped with BROTHERS OSBORNE and BRITTNEY SPENCER doing the ’60s classic, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'”.  It was totally unexpected, which again, fit the theme.  And it was definitely a fun way to end the night.

Today is International Women’s Day.  CARRIE UNDERWOOD would like us to “celebrate and encourage the achievements of women and girls around the world today and every day.”

MAREN MORRIS’ new album, “Humble Quest”, is out March 25th.  She’ll be supporting it with a tour of the same name that kicks off June 9th in Raleigh, North Carolina.  July 14th – Philadelphia      August 4th – Columbia, MD

KANE BROWN picked the perfect time to bring his wife Katelyn on stage at his show in Vegas on Saturday.  It was during the song, “Worship You”.

Kat Von D is 40.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is 46.

Camryn Manheim is 61.

Micky Dolenz from The Monkees is 77.

Susan Clark is 79. Emmanuel Lewis’ mom on “Webster” . . . and the naughty stripper Cherry Forever in “Porky’s”.
