The Internet is still reeling from the sudden loss of BOB SAGET.  There’s no new information on a cause of death, but here’s the latest on what people are talking about:

1.  Just last week, Bob was a guest on a podcast called “A Corporate Time with Tom and Dan”, where he talks about contracting COVID-19. Bob describes the virus as “not good” . . . and jokes about which strain he might’ve had.  He also jokes about dying from Covid. It’s unclear when he contracted the virus.  He did sound like he was under the weather on the podcast, but that said, he did perform on Saturday night, so he’d apparently recovered.

2.  Yesterday, the police released the 911 call.  A hotel staffer had found his body and called to report an “unresponsive guest in a room” who had “no pulse” and was “not breathing.”  They checked on him because he was supposed to leave earlier that day, and his family was unable to get ahold of him. He was found on the bed . . . and he was “cold to the touch, yellow, and clammy.”  There were no signs of trauma, foul play, or drug use.  This was at around 4:00 P.M. local time.  He’d last used his key to enter his room at 2:17 A.M. that morning. The authorities did find some medication, but it was all basic stuff . . . “ibuprofen, antacid, [and] an antihistamine.”

3.  The initial autopsy was completed yesterday, but the results are inconclusive, and pending further investigation, which may take 10 to 12 weeks to complete.

4.  Jodie Sweetin . . . Stephanie Tanner from “Full House” . . . put out a really touching tribute, where she called him “the best TV dad ever.”  She also promised to tell an inappropriate joke at his funeral, because that’s what he would’ve wanted.

5.  Bob died on what would’ve been his late sister’s 75th birthday.

6.  Bob reportedly talked to his wife Kelly Rizzo on the day he died.  A source says he was excited after performing a great show on Saturday night.

7.  Bob’s touring partner Mike Young said Bob “seemed great” before death.  He says everyone was “blindsided.”

If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to take a step away from social media, it may be a hard habit to break . . . but it IS possible.  Even some stars have done it. Buzzfeed has a list of celebrities who have mostly abandoned social media, and maybe it’ll serve as some inspiration.  A few highlights include:

1.  Selena Gomez, who said social media was filled with “unnecessary hate.”

2.  Kristen Stewart, who said it was addicting and a time-waster.

3.  Harry Styles, who compared it to a party where there are a few great people, and dozens of mean people.  He said, “You wouldn’t go to that party would you?”

4.  Lorde, who said it brought her too much stress about all the bad things happening in the world.

5.  Taylor Swift, who said that it messes with our priorities.  Quote, “You feel like there are 3 trillion new invisible hoops that you have to jump through, and you feel like you’ll never be able to jump through them all correctly.”

6.  Zayn, who said, quote, “I believe it breeds sheep and not lions.”

7.  Jennifer Aniston, who said, quote, “What the tabloids and the media did to people’s personal lives back then, regular people are doing now [on social media].”

8.  Ed Sheeran, who said, “I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes . . . there’s nothing [on social media] but people saying mean things.”

9.  Kate Winslet, who believes it’s destructive for young people’s self-esteem.

“Grey’s Anatomy” is returning for a 19th season and so is ELLEN POMPEO.  Twitter users had fun posting jokes about the renewal, like, quote, “The fact that Ellen Pompeo could have spent all those years to become an actual doctor.”

KATY PERRY came out with a line of sparkling non-alcoholic drinks called De Soi.  They are made with “adaptogens” that supposedly offer fresh flavor and benefits like brightening a mood or helping to relax.

Country Now put together a page of tributes from country stars on the passing of BOB SAGET.  They include Sara Evans, Jordan Davis, Mickey Guyton, Travis Denning, Jana Kramer, Maggie Rose, and Mitchell Tenpenny.

Speaking of MITCHELL TENPENNY:  He’s extending his “2 Us It Did Tour”.  It picks up January 21st in Denver, Colorado and wraps March 5th in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  ALANA SPRINGSTEEN is the opener.  You’ll find all the dates on his Facebook.

ERNEST had his Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday.  And it was special for another reason.  His buddy MORGAN WALLEN showed up to help him perform their duet “Flower Shops” . . . and the video is making the rounds

Jimmy Kimmel had Chris Stapleton on his show and he absolutely killed it on their “Wing It and Sing It” segment.  Jimmy explained that Chris used to love the show “Full House”, specifically John Stamos. So, the song they had Chris sing was sort of a loving tribute to his “hero”, John Stamos.  He had…
