The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will be hosting the annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on January 9.  The location is the same, however, this year there will be no audience, no red carpet and no media credentials provided for journalists.  Additionally, Variety has reported that the HFPA is having trouble booking celebrity presenters for the show. 

JOE EXOTIC, with the help from his lawyer,set up a GoFundMe to raise $500,000.  He needs the money to pay off CAROLE BASKIN and Big Cat Rescue.  But so far he’s only raised about $420. 

BILLIE EILISH and KANYE WEST are reportedly going to be headliners for this year’s Coachella Festival in April. 

The “Grammys” have been postponed due to the Omicron variant.  They were originally supposed to go down on January 31st.  There’s no word on a new date yet.  Last year’s show got pushed back to March. 

KELSEA BALLERINI and her husband MORGAN EVANS visited his family in Australia over Christmas.  But the real drama was coming home when they had to finish their COVID test in order to get on their flight, and they did it with ZERO minutes to spare. 

DEANA CARTER recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of her iconic album, “Did I Shave My Legs for This?” . . . and now comes this.  She says the song “Strawberry Wine” “instantly spoke to her” because it reminded her of her high school sweetheart.  Wait, there is a payoff to this. Her high school sweetheart is actor JAMES DENTON, who played Mike Delfino on “Desperate Housewives”.

We have an update on the death of Country Music Hall of Famer TOM T. HALL, who passed away in August.  There were rumors that he took his own life so Rolling Stone contacted the Williamson County Medical Examiner’s office, and they confirmed that the “manner of death was ruled a suicide.”

Betty White will be honored privately as the late comedian would have wanted. Her close friend and agent at APA (Agency for the Performing Arts) Jeff Witjas tells PEOPLE that White — who died at the age of 99 on Dec. 31 — will be put to rest in a private ceremony, which is still being planned.  “The arrangements are being handled privately and that was Betty’s wish,” Witjas says. “As in life, she never wanted people to make a fuss over her.”  “If someone has a desire to do something in her honor, you can support or donate to one or more of her favorite charities or even donate to a local animal charity of your choice,” he said.

NBC announced the Winter Olympics will be live-streamed on Peacock’s premium tier.
