Jeff Bezos’ space company is planning to build a commercial space station with the hopes of opening it by the end of the decade. It’s described as a “mixed-use business park” with the ability to host up to ten very rich people. “The station will open the next chapter of human space exploration & development.”
Pixar released the trailer of their upcoming movie Lightyear starring Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story franchise. It will not be a Toy Story movie per se, but the origin story of the beloved character. Director Angus MacLane explained, “If Andy saw a movie that got him excited about getting a Buzz Lightyear toy, what would that movie look like?”
Police are continuing to investigate how a cinematographer was killed and a director injured by a prop gun on the set of the ALEC BALDWIN western, “Rust”. Here’s the latest . . .The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed told police the day of the shooting that she checked the ammo in the gun, and they were all dummy rounds. She also said there were never live rounds on the set. She claimed the gun was locked in a safe during lunch that day, and taken out just before the shooting. But she did say there were other people who had access to the safe. Assistant director David Halls is the man who handed the gun to Baldwin and declared it “cold” . . . meaning it wasn’t dangerous. He says he remembers seeing three rounds in the gun, but he didn’t check all of the chambers . . . which he should have done. After the shooting, he inspected the gun and found four dummy rounds, plus what appeared to be a spent LIVE round, although that’s not confirmed yet. Police do believe some of the ammo they confiscated from the location was live. Halls was fired from the set of a movie in 2019, when a gun accidentally discharged, injuring a crew member. As for any possible charges, police haven’t ruled out ANYONE yet.
Y’know who dressed up as DARIUS RUCKER and fooled a bunch of people? Darius Rucker. He pretended to be a wax figure of himself at Madame Tussauds in Nashville. He posted the video yesterday. You see him standing next to wax figures of country stars like Trisha Yearwood, Eric Church, and Reba McEntire, and he looks about the same as they do . . . until he starts moving. Sometimes it’s just a smile or a nod, but a few times he lunges at people! Here’s what he wrote in the caption: “Y’all know I love a good prank. To get into the Halloween spirit, I stopped by Madame Tussauds Nashville to say ‘boo’ to a few new friends.”
Right now Brad Paisley is celebrating two holidays at the same time. “We go really hard on holidays. If you were to come to our house today, you would see Halloween decorations inside, and you would see Christmas lights put up outside. So, we kind of like get ready for multiple holidays at the same time. We’ve been watching ‘Hocus Pocus’ and ‘Halloweentown’, and carving pumpkins and baking pumpkin seeds, and already got all the girls’ costumes ready to go. And so, we definitely love Halloween.”
The CMAs revealed the next round of performers, and CHRIS STAPLETON is one of them. Hopefully, that means his vocal rest did the trick. Other newly announced performers include Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Old Dominion, Chris Young, and Kane Brown.
DIERKS BENTLEY announced the dates of his “Beers on Me 2022 Tour.” It’ll kick off January 6th in London, Canada . . . and wrap March 5th in Toledo, Ohio. Jordan Davis, Tenille Arts, and Lainey Wilson are the openers. (Ohio – Feb and March)
MIRANDA LAMBERT was inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame on Tuesday. Somebody posted a video of her acceptance speech and she admitted she’s “not a cowgirl. . . . but is learning to be.” She added that being a cowgirl is “about women lifting up other women, having respect for each other and for animals, and for using your platform for good.”
TY HERNDON and his boyfriend Matt Collum have split-up. Ty made the announcement on Instagram. Quote, “After 11 beautiful years together, Matt and I have decided to go our separate ways as life partners. We appreciate the support Nashville and so many of you have given us over the years.”
