2021 American Music Award Nominees Announced – Country Categories

The American Music Awards have released their final list of nominees of 2021.

In the country categories, the list of artists include Dan + Shay, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, Kane Brown, Lady A, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Zac Brown Band, Luke Combs, Kacey Musgraves, Morgan Wallen, Gabby Barrett, Walker Hayes & Old Dominion.

Gabby Barrett and Chris Stapleton both lead with 3 nominations each in the country music categories – Gabby: Album (Goldmine), Song (“The Good Ones”) & Favorite Female Country Artist. Chris: Album (Starting Over), Song (“Starting Over”) & Favorite Male Country Artist.

Carrie Underwood was not only nominated as Favorite Female Country Artist, but she also received a nod for Favorite Inspirational Artist category too.

Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has died.  His family didn’t announce the exact date or cause of death, but he was diagnosed with dementia and placed in a conservatorship last year.  He was 82.
