GEORGE CLOONEY will not be getting involved in politics because he “would actually like to have a nice life.”  After turning 60 this year, he wants to take on less projects and do things he loves like play basketball while he has good health.

KIM KARDASHIAN hosted “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and made fun of her whole family during her monologue, and in a sketch called “The People’s Kourt”.

PAUL MCCARTNEY is making it clear that he didn’t instigate THE BEATLES’ breakup . . . it was JOHN LENNON.  “This was my band, this was my job, this was my life . . . so I wanted it to continue.”

ERIC CHURCH had a Covid breakout in his band, but instead of canceling his shows over the weekend, he took the stage as a solo act.  Here’s what he posted on Friday: “Despite thorough safety protocols, a limited number of breakthrough Covid cases have occurred with the Eric Church Band.  In the best interest of everyone’s health and safety, Eric will perform this weekend’s shows as a special solo performance.” He wasn’t totally alone.  Special guest CAM was there on both nights.  And MORGAN WALLEN took the stage with him on Saturday in Philadelphia.

If you’re still upset that RASCAL FLATTS broke up, then I guess you can direct your anger at JOE DON ROONEY, because GARY LEVOX tells “People” that Joe Don was the one who pulled the plug. “I’ve never been okay with the way that it ended.  I wasn’t happy that Joe Don quit. It kind of came out of nowhere.  It was like, ‘Let me try to wrap my head around this.'” And when the pandemic put a stop to their farewell tour, it made Gary even crankier.  “I hate that we didn’t get to do this farewell tour.  I can’t stand the fact that it just feels there’s no closure with something that we’ve been so blessed with.  That will always be in my heart.” Asked if they connected after Joe Don’s DUI arrest last month, Gary said, quote, “I haven’t talked to him.  I wish him the best and I hope he gets everything he needs to get well and take care of whatever issues he’s got going on.”

The performance list at Wednesday’s “CMT Artists of the Year” includes Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, and Kane Brown.  Plus, Kelsea Ballerini performs with the Jonas Brothers . . . Mickey Guyton with Yola . . . and Kevin Olusola of Pentatonix with Boyz II Men.

Midland’s MARK WYSTRACH and his wife Ty Haney are expecting their second child together.  It’s a boy and he’s due in December.  Their daughter Sunny will be two next month.

KANE BROWN says things changed after he made “Time’s” list of influential people for 2021.  “I didn’t expect people to look up to me, but I’ve had so many come up [and] say how much they look up to me and respect me and how we’re opening up doors.  I’m just super blessed to be honored with the Time 100.”

CHASE RICE’s “If I Were Rock & Roll” is the first song that he’s written entirely by himself.  “I love being able to say what I want to say.  You can get other writers in the room, and most of the time, that does make for a much better song because they are giving their best ideas.  But, this one . . . I did.

Are you a single parent to college-aged kids?  Well, beware . . . they just might nominate you for HBO Max’s new show.  It’s a reality dating series called “My Mom, Your Dad”, where kids try to find new partners for their single parents. The parents will all move into a house together . . . with the kids moving into a house down the street.  The kids will be able to watch their parent’s every move through hidden cameras and manipulate their encounters.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of That 90s Show which will have Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles as Red and Kitty Forman.  The synopsis reads, “Hello, Wisconsin!  It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and stern glare of Red.”

Sotheby’s estimates that a pair of red and white Nike Air Ships worn by Michael Jordan in his rookie year will sell for $1 million to $1.5 million.  A company spokesperson said, “Michael Jordan’s items are perhaps the most coveted.  We put up a lot of other valuable memorabilia items, but I would say on a kind of ongoing and continuous basis, Michael Jordan’s market is really strong.”

Andrew Lloyd Webber admitted that he now has a therapy dog because of the trauma cased by the Cats movie.  He said, “There wasn’t really any understanding of why the music ticked at all.  I saw it and I just thought, ‘Oh, God, no.’  It was the first time in my 70-odd years on this planet that I went out and bought a dog.”

Michelle Wie is 32.  LPGA golfer with $6.8 million in career earnings so far.

Jane Krakowski is 53.
