Loretta Lynn Announces A Flood Relief Show at the Opry – September 13th

The entire country has gone through a wild few weeks of weather.

Flooding from Louisiana, to Tennessee, all the way up the east coast has had devastating affects.

In Tennessee, flooding caused the loss of life for many, including Loretta Lynn‘s friend and ranch foreman Wayne Spears.

At the time, back on August 22nd, Loretta shared, “With the heaviest of hearts we are saddened to report that our beloved foreman Wayne Spears did not survive being swept up in the flood waters. Wayne has been a family friend to the Lynns and a fixture to the Ranch for decades and we are all devastated by his passing. The Ranch will never be the same without him but he will always be remembered for his ready smile, kind heart, and willingness to go the extra mile for everyone around him. Eventually we’ll rebuild our community, our ranch, our lives and our homes. but only God could build a man like Wayne Spears. There’s just no replacing that. May he rest in peace.”

Now in the recovery process for the area, Loretta is making sure help is there, as she announces Hometown Rising – a benefit concert for flood relief…

Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Luke Bryan, and Luke Combs announced already, there will surely be many more performers showing up at the Opry House to lend a helping hand. For more information, visit Opry.com.

If you can’t make it to Nashville on the 13th, but you’d still like to help – you can donate by texting TNFLOODRELIEF to 44321.

Loretta added, “The flood that devastated our area has been awful, but love is stronger. I’m so grateful for my friends who are answering my call for us to all pitch in and help every way we can”
