Netflix announced the entire Seinfeld series is coming to its platform on October 1.  The show hasn’t been available on a streaming platform since June when it was removed off Hulu.  The company also announced that not only will it be streaming the classic episodes but will do so in 4K for the first time.  Jerry Seinfeld joked that he was “enormously grateful to Netflix” for taking a chance on the show.

New rumored cast members for “Dancing with the Stars” include Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade, NBA star Iman Shumpert, and Brian Austin Green.

ABBA has a new album coming out on November 5th called “Voyage”, and they released two new singles yesterday.  An ABBA concert experience is opening in London next May, with the band as digital avatars of their younger selves.

Whether you had the privilege to see ELVIS in concert or not, everyone knows his on-stage fashion was quite iconic. The white eyelet jumpsuit and matching cape that he wore in 1972 at a Madison Square Garden show is going up for auction.  But they’re not being sold together. The opening bid for the jumpsuit is $350,000 and the cape is $50,000. There will be other Elvis memorabilia on the block, too, like the helmet worn in “Viva Las Vegas” . . . a collection of his hair saved by one of his barbers . . . and a private Beverly Hills luncheon with ex-wife PRISCILLA PRESLEY.  (They divorced in 1973.) Priscilla said, “I thought, ‘Why not be a part of it?’ . . . I used to have a different opinion about these estate sales, but then as I got older I realized that you have to pass these things down to someone who’ll really appreciate them.” Part of the proceeds from the luncheon will go to the Dream Foundation in recognition of Priscilla’s mom who passed away last month. Live bidding starts tomorrow at GWSAuctions.com.

The 2010s were a busy time for country music.

  1. 2010: Chely Wright became the FIRST openly gay country performer.  She “came out” during an interview on “The Today Show”.
  2. 2011: Sugarland was set to perform at the Indiana State Fair . . . but due to high winds, part of the stage collapsed and killed seven people and injured dozens more.  Oh, and Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce and Glen Campbell announced he had Alzheimer’s.  (Glen passed away in 2017.)
  3. 2012: Randy Travis was arrested after being found naked in the middle of the street.  He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and making threats to a police officer.
  4. 2013: Linda Ronstadt revealed she has Parkinson’s disease.  And George Jones passed away before the end of his farewell tour.  He was 81.
  5. 2016: Merle Haggard passed away on his 79th birthday.  Joey Feek lost her battle with cervical cancer . . . she was 40.
  6. 2017: The devastating Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas.  58 people lost their lives, and hundreds were injured.  Also, Troy Gentry was killed in a helicopter crash . . . he was 50.
  7. 2018: Also, Gretchen Wilson was arrested at the Connecticut airport after belligerent behavior with the airline staff.
  8. 2019: The unexpected success of “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.  It was on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 consecutive weeks.

Three things you might not know about SCOTTY MCCREERY: He’s the world’s best wedding dancer . . . he’s only been to detention once. . . and he ran a half marathon one time and now only has nine toes.

TRISHA YEARWOOD has been in music for 30 years now, and she’s not going anywhere.  She said, “As long as I have a voice, I’m going to use it.”

ASHLEY COOKE was worried the pandemic would hurt her career, but it actually helped it.  She recently dropped her first studio release, an 8-song EP called “Already Drank That Beer Side A”.

52 year old Jennifer Aniston announced on Thursday that she’s getting in on the celebrity beauty brand boom and launching her own, called LolaVie, on Sept. 8. She hasn’t yet shared further details about her forthcoming products, but LolaVie’s website shows test tubes filled with bamboo, lemons and water, so maybe an all-natural skincare.

After a tumultuous few weeks, Mike Richards was officially fired from his role as executive producer on Jeopardy. The move came after Richards previously had stepped down from hosting Jeopardy due to backlash to comments about women that he gave on a podcast, as well as his discrimination lawsuits from his time working on The Price Is Right. In response to the news, former Jeopardy champ James Holzhauer made his thoughts about the decision known on Twitter. Do I think Mike Richards’s podcast comments were appropriate for polite society? No. But did he deserve the benefit of the doubt for the job he did running Jeopardy? Also no. After his initial tweet, Holzhauer then followed it up with a simple pop culture reference to sum up his feelings: DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD. Some judged Mike Richards solely on his podcast comments and formed a negative opinion, but I judged him by the way he treated people backstage at Jeopardy and formed a much stronger negative opinion.
