Disney’s sequel to its hit Enchanted is coming to Disney+ next year.  Disenchanted will see Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel returning for the second installment.

ELON MUSK wants to sell advertising space IN space. A Canadian company called Geometric Energy Corporation is teaming up with Musk’s SpaceX to make it happen.  Here’s how it’ll work: GEC is building a satellite called a CubeSat.  One side of it will be a pixelated display screen where advertisements, logos, and other art will appear. A SpaceX rocket will take the CubeSat into orbit and release it.  Then a “selfie stick” on the satellite will film the display screen, and livestream it to YouTube or Twitch, so we can watch whatever’s on it down here on Earth. Saying that some people aren’t cool with this would be an understatement.

The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox are playing on the “Field of Dreams” field in Iowa on Thursday, but GUY FIERI will be taking attendees to Flavortown. He’s created a special hot dog apple pie just for the occasion. The delicacy is described as a hot dog smothered in Guy’s homemade bacon jam and apple filling, then placed inside a flakey rectangle-shaped pie crust . . . then drizzled with apple mustard, brown sugar, and apple pie spice. He calls it a, “funky throwback snack”.

“South Park” creators TREY PARKER and MATT STONE recently signed a new $900 MILLION deal that includes keeping the show alive through 2027.  The deal also includes more than a dozen movies . . . including a horror film, a musical, and a “deepfake” movie.

QUENTIN TARANTINO knows how to hold a grudge . . . even against his own MOTHER.  Quentin has given her almost NOTHING since he got rich, because she once mocked him for trying to become a writer. In a recent interview, he said she was cussing him out for not doing well in school because he was trying to write screenplays instead. She told him that when he was supposed to be doing school work, he needed to ditch his, “little writing career”. At that moment, Quentin vowed that if he ever became a success, she wouldn’t see a penny from it.  “There will be no house for you.  There’s no vacation for you; no Elvis Cadillac for mommy.  You get nothing because you said that.” Quentin did help his mother out of a jam with the IRS once, but that’s it. The interviewer suggested that maybe he DID owe her something, because her taunting fueled his drive to succeed. But Quentin said, “There are consequences for your words as you deal with your children!  Remember:  There are consequences for your sarcastic tone about what’s meaningful to them.”

JON STEWART and PETE DAVIDSON are putting on a comedy event for the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  All proceeds will go to 9/11 charities.  The other performers include Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, Jimmy Fallon, and John Mulaney.

If you watched VAL KILMER’s documentary “Val” or have been following his cancer recovery journey, you’d know that the disease has pretty much robbed him of his voice. But he just got it back, thanks to a software company that replicated his former voice using archived recordings . . . and it’s pretty convincing. In a video showing off his new (old) voice, Val says,”I’m grateful to the entire team at Sonantic who masterfully restored my voice in a way I’ve never imagined possibleVal’s A.I. voice wasn’t used in the documentary, because the film had already been completed.  His son JACK KILMER stepped in for some of the narrating.

The 19th and final season of “Ellen” will kick off on September 13th. Yesterday she released a preview clip boasting that the show has hosted 4,000 guests and given away almost half a billion dollars.

You may have noticed something missing from the cover of GARY ALLAN’s album “Ruthless”, which came out in June.  There was no photo of Gary.  It was the first time that’s happened in more than 30 years. You can blame COVID.  He couldn’t make it to the photoshoot in Nashville because the disease was raging, and he was in lockdown with his family in the Dominican Republic. He did eventually get the shot, but it was too late to get pics done for the album cover.

TRACE ADKINS had a good 2020.  He spent his time working around his farm, recording new music . . . and he filmed three movies. “We were able to do movies.  You know, you just show up on the set that morning, they give you a COVID test, one of those rapid response tests, and 15 minutes later, everybody went to work. It was the best year, and creatively, it was the most productive year of my life.”

Two young Garth Brooks fans attending their first concert ever will be hard-pressed to attend another that’s more memorable. Garth made sure to leave an impression on Giada and her sister in Kansas City, Mo., on Saturday. Video shows the 12-year-old on her father’s shoulders, holding up a gold sign that says, “Garth … it’s our 1st concert.” Not only did the girl get great seats, she left with an autographed personalized  guitar. Both he and Giada have names that start with the letter “G.” “What has a ‘G’ on it that I’m thinking of?” he asks, hands on hips with his acoustic guitar, facing the family.

If you want to see JASON ISBELL in concert, well, there are stipulations.  He says, “We’re now requiring proof of vaccination or a current negative test to attend all our shows, indoors or out.  If the venue won’t allow that, we won’t play.”

JENNIFER HUDSON plays ARETHA FRANKLIN in the upcoming movie “Respect”.  In real life, Jennifer became good friends with Aretha, and she says she misses talking to her.
