ED SHEERAN kept pretty busy during his long music hiatus. But not by drinking and eating. The pandemic . . . and becoming a dad . . . actually helped him realize he should cut down on both and take better care of himself. He said, “I didn’t realize how unhealthy I was until I’ve been seeing people and they’re like, ‘Man, you look so good . . . wow, look so healthy.’ I was like, I must’ve look really bad before.” He’s also been painting a lot more since taking a break from music in 2019. “I bought 30 canvases . . . to paint a canvas every single day. So I painted 30 and really enjoyed it, so I bought 30 more . . . one of my friends were like, ‘Oh, could you paint me one?’ . . . so every 30 I do, I just send them out to mates.” He’s been painting his next album cover slowly. He said he got ten canvases and will see which turns out best. He painted the cover for his 2017 album “Divide”.
GARTH BROOKS is throwing a bone to some of the fans who buy “upper deck” tickets to his concerts. He’s going to pick out a select few . . . and give them floor seats to his soundcheck the NIGHT BEFORE the concert. The plans are still being worked out, and it’s not clear how he’ll pull it off, seeing as the soundcheck is the day before. But I’m pretty sure people will be able to shift things around on their calendar. At this point, Garth is pretty sure he’ll do it in Kansas City and Nashville . . . and if that works out, then future cities too.
TOBY KEITH announced the release date of his next album. It’s called “Peso in My Pocket” and it drops October 15th. This is Toby’s first new album in six years,
