JERRY SEINFELD is writing, directing, AND starring in a Netflix movie about the origins of the Pop-Tart.  It’s called “Unfrosted” and it’ll start production next spring. Jerry says he felt inspired by the sadness of the pandemic to make something based on, “pure silliness”. “We took my Pop-Tart stand-up bit from my last Netflix special [“23 Hours to Kill”] and exploded it into a giant, crazy comedy movie.”

BRITNEY SPEARS asked a court to end her conservatorship yesterday.  In a 20-minute statement, she said she felt traumatized and abused by the people running it. She made it sound like the last 13 years have been PURE HELL, and her dad, JAMIE SPEARS, is apparently the main culprit. Britney said she’s been paying him and others to basically control her every move, from making her perform when she doesn’t want to, to forcing her into therapy programs she doesn’t want, and restricting access to her own kids if she doesn’t comply. Speaking of kids, she’d like to have another one with her boyfriend, but she’s not even allowed to do that. She said, “I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby.  Britney said her dad should be in JAIL for what he’s done to her, and her family didn’t help.  In fact, she thinks they’ll probably oppose ending the conservatorship because they’ve been living off of it. Britney admitted she has LIED in the past when she’s told the public that she’s okay and happy.  “I’ve been in denial.  I’ve been in shock.  I am traumatized . . . But now I’m telling you the truth.  Okay?  “I’m not happy.  I can’t sleep.  I’m so angry.  It’s insane.  And I’m depressed.  I cry every day.” Britney said she wants the conservatorship scrapped WITHOUT having to undergo an evaluation – “[I’ve met with] enough people against my will, I’m done.  All I want is to own my money, for this to end, and my boyfriend to drive me in his [effing] car. “And I would honestly like to sue my family, to be totally honest with you.”

JAMIE SPEARS responded to the BOMBS his daughter BRITNEY dropped during her statement to the court yesterday.  But he didn’t say much. His lawyer read a statement to the court saying, “Mr. Spears is sorry to see his daughter suffering and in so much pain.  Mr. Spears loves his daughter and misses her very much.” Yesterday’s testimony set off a new wave of #FreeBritney hysteria.  Even JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE got into the act.  He said, “We should all be supporting Britney at this time. He added that “No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body,” and said that he and his wife JESSICA BIEL send their love and support. She also got love from Halsey, Courtney Love, Mariah Carey, Brandy, Cher, Meghan McCain, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more.

HARRISON FORD injured his shoulder while rehearsing a fight scene for “Indiana Jones 5”.  Production will continue, but they may have to work around him for a while.

There aren’t many jobs that start off the day with a shot of liquor.  Coffee?  Absolutely.  Tequila?  Uh, no, I’d never get anything done.  But JUSTIN MOORE likes to loosen up his crew before the show. “A lot of times, me and my band, the first time we see each other all day, outside of catering or something, is two minutes before the show.  We take a shot together right behind the stage.  We walk on stage and go.  That’s pretty much it.” Justin knows that his crew can handle it . . . because they work harder than he does.  He adds, “[They’re] the ones that are in the dressing rooms all day or hotel rooms, playing with their headphones in, recording or practicing. “I’m the guy who sits on the bus and watches stupid funny movies or westerns all day, or goes and plays golf or something like that.”

Luke Bryan is getting the docuseries treatment! On Wednesday, IMDbTV released the trailer for their Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary docuseries, which is set to follow the star’s lengthy career to becoming one of the biggest names in country music. “When you’re in a truck riding the roads of south Georgia, you get a lot of time to learn music that’ll change your life,” Bryan, 44, says. “I formed a little band and my dad told me, ‘Please get out of here and follow your dreams'”. The docuseries shows interviews with his family members, friends and his wife Caroline.

CARLY PEARCE performed at Dollywood when she was a teenager, so they asked her to record a promo.  They had her do it offstage at the Grand Ole Opry, and there was a sneaky reason for that.  Suddenly, DOLLY PARTON showed up and invited Carly to become an Opry member.  She’ll be inducted August 3rd.

A musical based on the 1991 Oscar-winning film Thelma & Louise is in the works.  The movie’s writer, Callie Khouri, said, “We’ve got a book and we’ve got music but because of the pandemic, we haven’t all been together in a very, very long time.  So, it’s still in its nascent stages, but it’s very promising.”
