The Green Bay Packers started minicamp yesterday WITHOUT AARON RODGERS.  This is the first time in his 16-year career that he’s been a holdout. Aaron already skipped all three phases of the Packers’ voluntary workout sessions.  After this camp, the next mandatory reporting date is the July 27th kickoff for training camp. By skipping those workouts, Aaron basically forfeited a $500,000 bonus.  The team can also fine him $93,000 for missing minicamp.  If he skips training camp, he can be fined $50,000 per day. In the meantime, backup QB JORDAN LOVE is getting all the reps during practice. Packers coach Matt LaFleur says, “It is what it is, man.  We’ll focus and we’ll control and work on the guys that are here and try to help them become the best to their ability and coach the heck out of them.”

He announced his departure in an Instagram post.  “While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.” The “Hollywood Reporter” says he’s getting a big payday for leaving.  (Page Six says it was an ugly split, with Chris threatening to divulge the show’s dirty secrets if he didn’t get $25 million.) Warner Brothers and ABC said in a joint statement, “We are thankful for [Chris’] many contributions over the past 20 years and wish him all the best on his new journey.

BRANTLEY GILBERT is never one to mince his words.  Somebody asked him what he likes about NASCAR, and he let it fly. “Some of my favorite parts of racin’ probably shouldn’t be my favorite part.  I do like watching wrecks.  I think there’s a few of us out there.  It’s fun. “
