In 2011 Scotty McCreery was named the winner of season 10 of American Idol.

And 6 years earlier in 2005, Carrie Underwood was named the American Idol winner for season 4.

And in 2005 Garth Brooks proposed to Trisha Yearwood…spoiler alert – she said “yes” — In 2013 Garth and Ellen DeGeneres talked about his time at home raising his daughters and his relationship with Trisha.
