Actor CHARLES GRODIN died yesterday of bone cancer. He was 86 years old. He was the dad in the first two “Beethoven” movies. He was also in “Rosemary’s Baby”.
A new Discovery Channel show called “Otter Dynasty” is described as “Game of Thrones”, but with otters. It’s about three otter clans doing their thing in Singapore’s Marina Bay.
Got a feeling we’re all going to be swapping quarantine stories once we start hanging out together again. MATTHEW RAMSEY of OLD DOMINION shared his. It was the time he forgot he was famous. “I was taking a walk [about] eight months into the lockdown [and] this car does a U-turn and pulls up to me and she’s like, ‘what are you doing?’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean? What am I doing?’ “And she’s like ‘you’re just out here taking a walk.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah’ . . . and I just completely forgot that I was maybe a recognizable person. It just hadn’t happened in a really long time.” While we’re on the subject: Old Dominion is doing a “Live From the Ballpark” concert tour. There are seven shows in historic baseball parks, beginning July 17th in Jackson, Tennessee, with additional shows in August, September, and October. Scotty McCreery, Randy Houser, Matt Stell, Blanco Brown, Caitlyn Smith, and Walker County will open select shows.

Naomi Campbell is a mom. The 50-year-old supermodel announced Tuesday that she welcomed her first child, a baby girl. “A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love,” she captioned a photo of herself holding the newborn’s feet. It is unclear who the father is and whether Campbell gave birth, hired a surrogate or adopted the little one.

Leonardo DiCaprio has announced a $43 million pledge to restore the Galapagos Islands. The initiative is the result of a partnership between DiCaprio’s Re:wild organization, the Galapagos National Park Directorate, Island Conservation and local communities. The pledge will fund projects that include efforts to restore Floreana Island – home to 54 threatened species including the Floreana mockingbird – the first mockingbird described by Charles Darwin.
