Yesterday, NBC canceled the Globes after a growing list of controversies, including severe lack of diversity, preferential treatment, misuse of funds, and allegations of sexism and abuse. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which puts on the Globes, was originally under fire when it was revealed that they had ZERO Black members. And things have snowballed since then. NBC’s decision means there will NOT be a Golden Globes broadcast in 2022, but they’re leaving the door open for a possible return in 2023, saying that change of this magnitude takes time and work, and they feel strongly that the HFPA needs time to do it right. Yesterday, TOM CRUISE said that he dropped his three Golden Globes in the mail and sent them back. And he may not be the last. Others are speaking out against the HFPA, demanding change. Over the weekend, Netflix, Amazon, WarnerMedia, and HBO cut ties with the Globes . . . and given the rise of streaming, that’s almost as big of a blow as NBC dropping the actual broadcast. If the Globes aren’t televised until 2023, will anyone care anymore? Only 6.9 million viewers tuned in for this year’s show.
There’s a 38-year-old guy named William James Walker in Orange Park, Florida, just outside of Jacksonville in the northeast part of the state. And last month, he stole a trailer from a parking lot outside a Days Inn. And inside the trailer was . . . about $12,000 worth of Lynyrd Skynyrd memorabilia. The stuff was going to be sold at a cancer charity benefit in honor of Jimmie Van Zant. The most valuable item in the trailer was a 1957 Les Paul guitar signed by several rock stars, plus a whole bunch of other Skynyrd stuff. The police are still hunting for William . . . and he’s looking at a felony grand theft charge.
It’s really starting to look like BEN AFFLECK and JENNIFER LOPEZ are back together again. They just spent a week at a resort in Montana, and a source says, quote, “They were alone. Just the two of them.” TMZ says they were acting very much like a couple, and when they returned to L.A. on Sunday, they went straight to Jennifer’s house. However . . . the not-always-reliable Radar Online claims that Jennifer has already re-dumped Ben, after deciding he’s not husband material. Supposedly, Ben getting caught hitting up a younger woman on a dating app was a big part of it.Ben and J-Lo were engaged back in the day, but they split 17 years ago. They remained friends, and they started hanging out again after Jennifer and ALEX RODRIGUEZ broke up.
BOB BAFFERT is the trainer for Medina Spirit . . . the Kentucky Derby-winning horse who failed a drug test. Baffert insists that no one gave Medina Spirit anything illegal, and he has NO SHORTAGE of excuses for why the horse failed its test. And one is wild . . .Baffert said one of the testing issues was created by a “groom,” which is a person who handles day-to-day work inside stalls. Apparently, one of them PEED in Medina Spirit’s stall . . . after taking cough medicine . . . and the horse ate some of the contaminated hay, which then led to the positive test. Baffert has blamed grooms before. Just last year, two of his horses tested positive for a banned substance. And he claimed that grooms used a lidocaine cream on their hands before handling the horses and the horses somehow ingested it.
MATTHEW RAMSEY of OLD DOMINION got pretty banged-up after falling off a ladder. He posted a photo of himself in the hospital yesterday on the Old Dominion Instagram. Here’s what he wrote in the caption: “How many Old Dominion members does it take to change a lightbulb? Well, after a broken rib, collapsed lung, and various scrapes and bruises, I found out the answer is ‘more than one.’ Back home and recovering now with all the fun pills. Y’all be careful out there and get someone to hold your ladder.” Hopefully, Matthew will heal up in time for their “Band Behind the Curtain Tour” . . . which kicks off May 27th in Durant, Oklahoma. But if he IS still hurtin’, maybe he can borrow Dave Grohl’s throne again.
KIP MOORE is hitting the road this fall. The “How High Tour” will kick-off October 14th in Chicago . . . and wrap December 18th in San Diego. Kip’s “Good Life” video is out, and there are a couple of moments where he looks like a “Magic Mike” dancer. He’s shirtless with an open vest, short-shorts, and yellow cowboy boots.

Miranda Lambert is adding to her already large and diverse animal family. On Sunday, the singer introduced fans to the two latest additions to the household, sharing a snapshot of her new pair of goats, Taco and Tuesday, via Instagram Stories. “We’ve added two farmily members!” she writes, tagging Cedar Rock Farm — a small, family-owned middle Tennessee farm selling meat products as well as handmade goats milk soap — which is presumably where she adopted Taco and Tuesday. Miranda is both a fur-mom and a stepmom these days, as her husband, Brendan McLoughlin is a dad to a 2-and-a-half-year-old son from a previous relationship. In June of 2019, Lambert opened up about taking on the role of stepmom, explaining that she was “enjoying the balance” of farm life and spending time with McLoughlin’s son. “My stepson is amazing. I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.” Most recently, Lambert and McLoughlin have moved away from the Nashville-area house where they spent much of quarantine and are currently living in a small cabin on some land that they own as they begin working on building their new house.
RILEY GREEN and former UFC fighter CHAD MENDES made a hunting dream come true for a 15-year-old boy who’s been battling cancer. They went on a successful hog hunt in Northern California, and shared an impressive photo of their very large prize.
John Mulaney and his wife Anna Marie Tendler are going their separate ways. The pair have called it quits after six years of marriage. “John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work,” his rep said. “I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage,” Tendler said. “I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.” News of their split comes nearly five months after Mulaney, 38, checked into rehab in December, when he was seeking treatment after relapsing following a decades-long battle with addiction. In February, Mulaney had completed his 60-day rehab stay and was continuing his sobriety work as an outpatient.

ABC has renewed its Grey’s Anatomy for an 18th season after star and exec producer Ellen Pompeo, following prolonged negotiations, inked a rich new deal. Chandra Wilson (Bailey) and James Pickens Jr. (Richard) have also closed new deals to return for season 18. Also returning to ABC’s 2021-22 schedule is Grey’s Anatomy‘s firefighter-focused spinoff, Station 19, which will be back for its fifth season.
