Bonnaroo Announces Free 3-Day “Virtual Roo-Ality” Festival on Sept. 24-26

The COVID-19 pandemic may have put the kibosh on the 2020 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, but you can still get a full slate of music with Virtual ROO-ALITY, a free three-night live broadcast airing via YouTube on Sept. 24–26.

The online event will feature past footage from the Bonnaroo archives as well as brand-new performances.

Topping the bill are 13 legendary performances from Bonnaroo’s archives, including Dave Matthews and Friends, Metallica, The White Stripes, James Brown, Jason Isbell, My Morning Jacket, Alabama Shakes, the Beastie Boys and more.

Virtual ROO-ALITY will offer new performances from more than 35 artists, including Nathaniel Rateliff, Chromeo, Big Gigantic, Bruce Hornsby featuring James Mercer, Rob Moose & Polo G, Old Crow Medicine Show’s Bonnarootenanny, Denzel Curry, Lennon Stella, Billy Strings, Action Bronson, CloZee, Moon Taxi, Live from Tipitina’s featuring Galactic and Tank and The Bangas, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Goose, Ashley McBryde, Ingrid Andress, Devin Dawson, ERNEST, and many more.

Bonnaroo was originally scheduled to take place June 11–14 at Great Stage Park, the 700-acre farm and event space located just 60 miles south of Nashville in Manchester, Tenn.

Virtual Roo-Ality will air September 24-26 beginning at 4:30pm CT each day exclusively on Bonnaroo’s YouTube channel.

Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has died.  His family didn’t announce the exact date or cause of death, but he was diagnosed with dementia and placed in a conservatorship last year.  He was 82.
