MARCH 18, 2020

Yesterday Tom Brady made his exit official. Over his 20-year career with the Patriots, Brady went to the Super Bowl NINE times, and won six. And he announced he was leaving in two goodbye notes – one to the organization and one to the fans. He said, “Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM accomplishments.” The 42 year old repeatedly said that he wants to play until he’s 45 – but apparently, he and the Patriots didn’t see eye-to-eye on a new, multi-year deal. So, Brady is moving on to a “new stage,” and according to reports, he’s already signed a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is worth $30 million a year.  He turns 45 in August of 2022, so it might be two or three years. Brady is replacing JAMEIS WINSTON, who becomes an unrestricted free agent today.  And Brady WILL have a supporting cast, with two Pro Bowl wide receivers in MIKE EVANS and CHRIS GODWIN. Godwin wears Brady’s #12 . . . but they’ll surely be able to work out something if Brady wants to keep it. As for the Patriots, there are a bunch of QBs who could be in-line to take over for Brady, including Winston, Cam Newton, and Andy Dalton.

It’s free, but it’s only for the Google Chrome browser. You can get it at NetflixParty.com.
