MARCH 10, 2020

If you’ve dreamed of being in the studio audience for a taping of “Jeopardy” or “Wheel of Fortune”, you’ll have to wait until the coronavirus scare dies down. Both shows won’t tape in front of a live studio audience because of the outbreak. First and foremost, they want to protect ALEX TREBEK, who’s battling Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and has a compromised immune system. Also both shows’ audiences typically skew OLDER, with plenty of out-of-town tourists, who have recently traveled by plane. As we’ve all heard by now, those most at risk of becoming very sick from coronavirus are older adults and those with serious medical conditions. So far, ABC, NBC and CBS haven’t changed their procedures for talk-show audiences, but there’s a decent chance that those tapings could also make changes in the near future.

The NBA, NHL, MLB and Major League Soccer are closing access to locker rooms and clubhouses to all non-essential personnel in response to the coronavirus crisis. That means NO reporters. They all say the changes are temporary, and are meant to protect the players and staff.

KATIE COURIC is the latest famous person to “work from home” after having some contact with someone who was later diagnosed with COVID-19. Katie says she’s voluntarily quarantining herself . . . and hasn’t had any symptoms. Her infected friend was Rick Cotton, who’s the head of Port Authority in New York City.  Hopefully, he recovers soon.

Italian designer GIORGIO ARMANI has donated 1 roughly $1.4 million to four hospitals in Italy to help tackle the outbreak.

There was a chance that “nine months pregnant” MAREN MORRIS would go into labor while performing at the Houston Rodeo Show on Saturday. Obviously she didn’t, but she did joke about it during the show.  She told the crowd, “If I go into labor during this show, it’s all good because it just means that my kid really wanted to be born in Texas.  He’s kicking.  He knows that my adrenaline is on full blast.” According to one report, she was “so dialed in” during her performance that she was “occasionally short of breath between songs.” She gave it everything she had, and along the way made it a lifetime memory.  She told the crowd, “For the rest of my life, I’m gonna look back at this show and show my son footage of it.  And tell him it got him out the door.” By the way, the car that brought her to the stage stayed there for her entire show.

BRANTLEY GILBERT found a great way to support our veterans and farmers at the same time. For his tours, he partnered with an organization called Farmer Veteran Coalition.  They help our nation’s veterans find work in agriculture. Instead of outsourcing the catering for his staff and crew, he’s buying the meats, produce, dairy, and everything locally.  And anything that’s leftover stays local for those who need it.  He loves that he’s getting it “all right from the source.”

34 yr old Kaley Cuoco and her 29 yr old husband Karl Cook have a big day coming up! They will finally be moving into their first house together in April. Actually Karl has been at home and Kaley has been in New York City for the past few months filming her upcoming HBO Max series The Flight Attendant while their house was being built. “When I wrap in April, that will be our first time in our new house,” Kaley said. “We are going steady. He gave me his letterman jacket and we are moving in together.” During an interview last year, Kaley first revealed that she and Karl were living apart “because of work and his business and his horses are a few hours away from where I was currently living.”

Well, he released another part of that interview and this time he basically says EVERYONE joins him for the workouts because it builds team spirit.  They even use the time to discuss how to make the show better.
