On “Ellen” yesterday, DEMI LOVATO was candid about relapsing in 2018, after being sober for six years. She said that when she first decided to get sober, she was 19 – she just stopped using drugs and alcohol. It worked for a while, and she was able to stick with it from 2012 to 2018, but then she struggled with an eating disorder, and was really unhappy. She said, “I asked for help, and I didn’t receive the help that I needed . . . and, I’m thinking to myself, I’m six years sober, but I’m miserable. I’m even more miserable than when I was drinking.  Why am I sober?” She said that her team implied that falling off the wagon would be selfish, and it would ruin things for THEM.  Demi did take personal ownership for relapsing, she wants everyone to know that they CAN get past stuff on their own, and they shouldn’t give up.

KATY PERRY is PREGNANT.   She showed off her bump in her latest video, “Never Worn White” . . . then confirmed it was real on Twitter, saying, quote, “OMG so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore . . . or carry around a big purse LOL.” She also did an Instagram Live video where she called this, “probably the longest secret” she’s ever had to keep. And she added a tease for her new album.  She said, “There’s a lot that will be happening this summer.  Not only will I be giving birth literally . . . but also figuratively . . . to something you guys have been waiting for.” She also discussed her new craving for SPICE. She said, “Now I have to carry Tabasco sauce in my purse.”  There’s one food she can’t stand anymore since she got pregnant:  Beef.

TAYLOR SWIFT built her career in Tennessee, and she’s stepping up again after the disastrous tornadoes ripped through the state a few days ago and killed at least 25 people. She’s donated $1 million to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund. She said, “Nashville is my home, and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me.” Taylor grew up in Pennsylvania . . . but she moved to Tennessee with her family when she was 14 to pursue her music career.  Tragically, at least five of the deaths were children under the age of 13.

It was only a year ago that Ashley McBryde’s career really kicked into high gear and she found herself experiencing one huge moment after another. Somebody asked how she was able to absorb it all. She said, “It’s hard to take it all in, in real time.  So when you get around to the holidays, that’s when you sit back and go, ‘Wow, we did this this year.  We played late night television this many times this year.  We were nominated for an Emmy. You really have to set time aside to kind of process those things.  Otherwise you just kind of walk around like a baby in a topless bar.  Right?  You’re just going, ‘What?  What?’  All the time.”

TIM MCGRAW is looking forward to his Here on Earth Tour, which picks up in July. MIDLAND and INGRID ANDRESS are the openers, and he’s already hoping Ingrid will join him and the crew when they do those crazy workouts. “She’s an athlete, which is cool, ’cause I come from an athletic family.  I hear she’s a pretty mean volleyball player.  She might have to hit the Crossfit with us.  We’re old guys, so she might make us feel ashamed when she goes out there and kicks our butt.”

Country stars pitching in to help with the tornado recovery efforts in Nashville – Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, Dierks Bentley, Cam . . . and Will Hoge who showed a pic of a pool party for 19 kids so parents could “work to get our city back in order.” Dierks’ post was a clip of himself and about 25 people helping his drummer Steve Misamore do some clean-up at what used to be his house, which was demolished in the storm. Although the clip is mostly them adding “a little levity.”
